I hate Ks I suppose there are benefits? Usually batters who K a lot have power, which I do enjoy though

It was so frustrating last year watching us K so much.

How did we rank?

Jays struck out 1251 times last year, which was 11th most in baseball, 5th most in the AL.

Buehrle and his pitbulls <--> Garza

It'd need to be a 3-way deal because the Cubbies are rebuilding.

I have to think the jays will try to accommodate buerle and his dog. If they can't get something done with the city he could well be traded.

I sure hope not as I think he's a very good pick up!

I think it's been reported that the Jays are working really hard to help the Buehrle family with the pitbull situation.

Until then he'd live in NY or something. I thought I read something along those lines but I might just be making **** up.

I think he has injury concerns. And mobility issues. Batting defects. Etc

Someone will pick em up cheap.

Kelly Johnson is a lot like Arencibia. Below average defensively, strikes out a ton and has above average power for their positions. Johnson can take a walk though and Arencibia is a clubhouse leader. Yet JPA has his fan Boys (and girls) and Johnson is hated. Go figure.

I'd say Johnson is average defensively for a second-baseman, it's his mobility that stinks. His glove's not bad though.

Well Johnson set a blue jays record for most strikeouts in year so... I don't think it's really fair to say they both strikeout out a lot. It's true that they do but one still strikes out a lot more.

JPA struck out at a clip of .311
Johnson struck out at a clip of .313

It is absolutely fair to say. JPA had 150 less at bats then KJ and still struck out 108 times. He does strike out that much. They really are almost identical is strike out rate. KJ did walk at a much better rate though

Johnson struck out more but because of injuries he had alot more at-bats. Johnson struckout 27.4% of the time last season and JPA struck out 29.0% of the time. So no its not true that Johnson strikes out alot more.

Your stats are a little off. Yo went by atbats which doesn't count walks. When you go by plate appearances JPA struck out more.

This World Series replay is fantastic, I must say that. Since i was 4 years old in 1992, I don't remember it, and have no clue about how the series went other than the Jays won eventually.

Well, then don't click this link then

It definitely is an awesome idea though, and is getting a lot of people pumped for the season. Hopefully it doesn't wear off over the next 3 months though...

Any plans to show the 1993 series sometime in the new year? I'm assuming it has to do with the NHL lockout and if it ends, because right now, there's nothing on TV besides basketball...

They say they are doing it because it is the 20 year anniversary. But if this goes well who knows.

I'd love a Buerhle++ for Garza deal, but I dont see why the Cubs would want Buerhle. He's old and they're rebuilding. Theres no match.

Yeah I know. Because if he wanted to go for a quick breakdown going off at bats he's marginally better but with his inability to take a walk makes him worse.
