That game was so much fun to watch. I hope these two teams meet again just to see them try to duplicate that. What a treat. Eichel and McDavid were the class of the game but I thought some others like Milano, McCann, Watson looked good as well.
Yeah tons of talent on the ice. Thought the US goalie was pretty good, along with Eichel of course. Moran fought the puck through the whole game, just a kid maybe had the jitters.

USA deserved to win I think. The difference being a coherent team taking on an all star collection.

What i saw is a fast Ontario Team (transition from D to O was good)....the US D are SLOW...the Ontario Goalie needed to stop 1 (only 1) of those giveaways.....I fully excpect Team Ontario to get better as the tournament progresses...but again...i have no faith in this Goalie...

Agreed, I don't believe the US is better overall just that they have played together so much more. Ontario wins a 7 game series but not today and maybe not the championship.

What interests me most is the potential these guys have for future U20 teams...and Up front and even on D we are good...fast and big...BUT AGAIN it's the goal-tending...he didn't stand on his head, he wasn't even good, he was just there...in 3 years we will be back on the U20 boards complaining about the goaltending again....at least we should be ok for the next 2 years at the U20 with Fucale and Comrie...I don't know who else...really don't....

And when Turgeon missed him with what should have been an easy pass that would have sprung a 3-on-1 late.

Not sure what the problem is. I'm tempted to say too much or the wrong goalie coaching methods or techniques. Maybe they should just concentrate on stopping the puck. Hasek, Tim Thomas, and Curtis joseph weren't good technicians they just stopped the puck.

The problem is the same everywhere in OHL QMJHL WHL - they are importing goalies from other nations to be the number 1 goalie....For every import that removes another chance of developing our goalies...

This needs to stop and once it stops our edge will be back, but until than....we will have CRAP as goalies...

My beard isn't as good as John Muir's but maybe in time!

I hope it's an excellent game. Being starved for hockey has made these games even more enjoyable. The tough loss to Russia on Friday was easy to take - just having a great hockey game to watch was worth it.

That's back-to-back games where I got to watch Team USA play and both games were so exciting and fun. Hopefully we'll get even more here soon!

decent PP for Russia and while they didn't score, they carried the momentum and managed to score 5 on 5. Clearly better looking PP than Russian u20

The mis-pronunciation of Nathan Noel's name has already gotten annoying.

Just to get it out of the way now, it's not "NoŽl" as in Christmas or the female name, it's "Knoll" like "grassy knoll".

Zinoviev who is very tiny deflects one in for Russia. Pacific come backs immediately with a breakaway and Bleakley follows with a goal making it 2-1.
