I know that I am NOT paying for the stream. I encourage everyone NOT to pay for it. TSN is a massive organization, they do not need to charge for the stream. I don't think they have done it before they don't need to start now.
As it is they over pump the Team Canada thing. The last few years have been awfull from the side of TSN. Way to much over coverage. It is just the pre-tournament games and they are breaking down everyhting in the game and guess what Team Canada lost the game!
Yeah, not fun, but I do want to watch the championship, so it looks like I'll be shelling out those $20 to see the 20 games offered. In all honesty, I don't think the price is too steep at the moment, but going from free for years to this is a bit of a shock.
It's 4 bucks a game. I mean, come on...is that really going to put you in the street? What obligation does TSN have to provide their streaming service free of charge?
They're idiots, though. They set this page up where they don't show scores, and in the FAQ it's stated this was done to avoid spoilers. Great thinking, huh? Yeah, no complaints there, except that when you now go to that page there's a ****ing spoiler for the USA - SWE friendly, despite them not showing the final score!
20 bucks for all the games on any platform seems pretty reasonable. TSN isn't an over-the-air broadcaster like the CBC, they make money by people subscribing to TSN in their cable bill. It would be great if it was free, but you can't really blame them.
Hey guys, am I the only one bothered by the fact that they have spoilers on the games list? They don't show scores, but they say either FINAL or FINAL OT, the latter, of course, being a huge spoiler. If I'm not the only one, I think other people should e-mail them and/or nag them via live chat, as well, so that they take care of it before the tournament starts.
Will I be able to buy on-demand games through the TSN app?
You have to install a stand alone app "TSN 2013 WJHC" After that use the same credentials you used when you made the purchase.
By the way, it was a deal breaker for me as in this case I will be able to watch the enire championship on my android phone. Totally worth $20.
I bought the CAN vs GER game but its at 1AM PST. Are these games archived? Normally I wouldn't but my Dad is here for christmas so I figured I would. I looked at their FAQ and didn't see anything

Dude, the answer to your question is in the first sentence of the answer to the first question Yes, they are archived.
One of the games I watched (via archive) there was a lot of buffering (other sites were ok so it wasn't my connection) but apart from that it has been excellent. I figured the Canada Russia game today would be a good test of their capacity and it was great quality, no issues.
I wish they offered the same thing for the Spengler Cup.
I don't get TSN on my cable package so I'm happy they are offering this.
You mean higher quality streams, live streams or what? Because they do have Spengler Cup games in their video archive.
Thanks for pointing that out, I've seen the highlights on their page but didn't know they had entire games. I did mean live streams, but archive is better than nothing especially if its free.
