What's the deal with Bathgate?
We should look into giving him a contract.

Oskar Norlov is starting to get some recognition and is a teammate of Thomas Spelling in Rogle BK's J-20 league. Could be scouted by us.

Currie has been on a tear lately, never even heard of the kid last year. He's already beat his points total from last season by 16, and he's played 32 less games so far. He's overage so it's something to consider when looking at his stats, but definitely an impressive year.

Rangers should be taking a look at Frank Palazzese (G -- Kitchener Rangers).
Splits time with Anaheim 2nd round pick (and US WJC starter) John Gibson.

Jon, you know more about this kind of stuff than I do, I always thought that it was a bad sign to see a goalie who "splits" time or is not the starter. I understand Gibson is a talented young goalie but wouldn't that be a bad thing considering Palazzese sees less ice time?

Gibson had injury problems last year and Palazzese stepped up big time. He seems to have developed quite well in a fairly short time. This year, he has just been so damn good that they have to play him when they can.
Here's a good article on him:

Real team player. Hasn't requested a trade even though he has been vocal about wanting to win the #1 job.
He also won goalie of the month just this past November.
With all that said, I do believe he is still eligible for the draft this coming year.

I think we could use a Franky Palazzese on the Rangers.

I hope the Rangers seriously think about taking a goalie in this years draft. There is a glaring hole there....

No chance he signs here. Lundqvist is good for another 10yrs maybe. Why would a high sought-after goalie prospect sign here?

Palazzese is up for the draft this year. He is worth a 4th or so round pick, quite frankly. And no reason he wouldn't sign.

Don't we have 3 3rd rounders this year?

I'll add Dan DeKeyser out of Western Michigan. Could've signed this past season, and was highly sought after, but chose to go back.
