Pacific was terrible that period but escapes 2-2, turnovers galore by Pacific. Difference was goaltending, Payton Lee played quite well, Tretiak not so much.

Bleackley scored both goals I believe, first one he cleaned up a breakaway off of a large rebound. Second one he beat Tretiak with a nice wrist shot from the top of the circle. Defenceman may have have served as a screen. Pacific only had four shots total late in the period so not much offense outside of Bleackley.

Just as an aside everybody. Isn't it great that we can watch all of these games on line.

Weird if that's the case, I didn't think they'd graduate him past this level even though he played on the U19 team.

Probably as legitimate as Alexander Kharlamov

I think Max representing Russia at the youth Olympics too? I think Korobov was the starter there.

6-4 Russia after two, didn't watch must of the second but not a strong Tretiak performance I imagine.

Make that 6-4 Pacific, goof on my part.

Far be it from me to say who should or should not be on the Russian team but here's at least one report on him from a neutral source that seems to think very highly of him (scroll down to the section titled 96 World Selects: Our Top 35)

http://www.ushr.com/news/20120401

Perhaps he's a good goalie who just had a terrible game?

Russia score on 5 on 3 to make it 6-7. Were down 4-7 at the beginning of the third. Lets see if they make the come back

Pacific squeaks it out in OT. Both teams defense and goaltending need work.
