There's 3 per period barring a major injury or other odd stoppage isn't there? I think being able to wear a sweater without becoming a billboard is more important.

3 per period after the 14th, 10th and 6th minute of a period.

Sweden has one IIHF jersey, and one exhibition jersey. The WJC jersey has this tiny Skoda patch on the shoulders and nothing else.

Those exhibition jerseys are very practical. That's a good use of advertising.

That's a really good point, actually.

I have only been to one NHL game and that was obe of the things that really botherd me (the others being having to sit and how quiet the arena always was). I gladly take jerseyads over the breaks.

So do I, as the breaks unnecessarily make the game longer. The most ridiculous thing is that these breaks seem to have become so ingrained here that, for example, TSN is taking commercial breaks during the Spengler Cup games and then missing some of the action. You do, however, have this in the KHL now, as well, but the break is shorter and there are only two of them.

Speaking as a five year MN Wild season ticket holder (probably went to about 80 games in person downtown) I never really had an issue with the stoppages. It's very, very brief.

Plus, it doesn't hurt that the ones coming out to scrape the snow off the ice by the benches is hot chicks with spandex-type pants.

lol not in Toronto. But yeah the stoppages never bother me. The stupid advertisements on jerseys and more importantly right on the players foreheads look really, really stupid though and I would never want to own a Jersey like that.

That and the $25 lower bowl tickets are why I prefer college hockey.

You call that tiny? It's not too bad, but wouldn't call that tiny.

Dang. That sucks. They have a bunch of sausages cleaning during commercial breaks?

College has grown on me in the last several years. It helps that we (MN) have five teams in the NCAA (WCHA) and consistently produce NHL all star talents who are native born and bred.

Russians are embracing capitalism to an extent but they are not free from their past. Putin is a dictator.

I have no problem with the time to get a beer, watch a few highlights during commercials or run up to the washroom if at the game.

Being a dictator doesn't make you communist and vice versa

Tv Timeouts are fine because they clean the ice which in turn makes for better flowing action. nothing is wrost then a pass being stopped by a pile of snow, or the piles that goalies make on either side of the post from cleaning their crease.

For the extra money the nhl would get i dont see anything wrong with this, as long as it blends nice with the team colours. So for example the bulldogs one over the icecaps one.

I personally hate all ads on jerseys. Then again, I hate them on the ice surface as well. I even hate them on the boards.

In short, I hate all ads basically. I purposely do not use products when I find their ads invasive.

I'd love to have no ads but obviously the owners of these products (products=teams) are not going to turn down revenue streams.

The real bothersome ones are some of the faceoff circle ads in Europe that are black. You can easily lose the puck, especially if you are watching an internet stream.

Every time some American poster complains about ads on jerseys, I remember that "This powerplay is brought to you by Justin Bieber!".
Give me the ugly jerseys please - at least I can exclude ads from my attention.
