Looks like Teuvo's gotten bumped up to the 2nd line to play with Barkov and Lekhonen.

He never should've been on Finland's 3rd line to begin with.

The more I see of Seth Jones the more I am impressed with him.

He has everything you want for a total package defensemen in todays game. Good size and physicality while being a very strong skater, grands hands and an active stick, and has great vision in all 3 zones and plays the game with a veterans presence and patience.

anyone staying up late/getting up early for Canada/Slovakia?

i've got so much work to do i might try "staying up late" - but i'm also hoping to catch USA/Russia live - and if i try to do it w/ no sleep i'll have been awake for about 28 hours straight by the time the US game is over...which isn't a great idea

i'll try to sleep a bit.

i don't like watching the replay of the games b/c i don't have enough self-discipline to avoid seeing the final score beforehand - and it's just not as exciting watching the games when you know the result.

i'll be happy for malmo next year where the time difference is a more manageable 6 hours (rather than the 11 hr difference b/w Ufa and EST).

canada vs. usa tomorrow

the fact that gibson allowed only 2 goals against russia while subban let in three against each of germany and slovakia fills me with concern!

TT with a great wrist shot on the PP. Hit the crossbar with a similar shot just a moment ago. He has been the best player for finns in this tournament IMO.

This Finnish team has all the skill and potential, but no heart.

Teuvo with 2 goals easily best finnish player today.

Teuvo won MOTM and he really deserved it. Such a standout player today, although he lost the puck in shootout.

Like others have mentioned, Teuvo was very good today. He has insane chemistry with Barkov. Too bad we dont have a shot at him.

However the rest of Finnish team especially their defence looks very ordinary.

Completley stupid play by the US in the last 10 min. Down 1 late in the 3rd isn't the time to try and get your ounce of blood.

Teravainen and co eliminated. I had high hopes for that team before the tournament began

Calling it right now, you trade what you have to and get Seth Jones.

Saad, TT, first rounders, see ya. That kid is gonna be the best player in the draft.

No, you don't.

He may be the best player in the draft, but you don't trade, 'what you have to' to get him.

Or better yet - the Hawks should purposely lose every game and finish 0-48 and get the first pick.

That 3rd A was an amazing play by TT.

I registered here just to post that, but the moderation cue let you beat me to it.

TT is going to be a special young talent, with him on the second line and Kane on #1 we're going to have a lot of years of amazing playmaking.

And moving on to the other hawks in this WJC, Danault is going to be our third line guy once Bolland's back or salary demands make it prohibitive for him to be in the Indian Head. I love his tenacity, he does whatever it takes to hound the puck and make the play. He's been Canada's #1 PK guy, and if the Canadian guys could bury those wicked little backhand saucers Danault has been dishing out all tourny he'd have some points this tournament. McNeill still needs work if he wants to make the cut, but sneaking into the World Juniors is the perfect chance for him to start the road to taking his game to the next level. Shalunov has been disappointing this tournament, but the same can be said for the rest of Russia's team, so I guess that's a write-off.

Not Subbans fault, Team Canada looked completely lost out there.

Sucks that you own a whole tournament and fail to show up for 1 game and you are done. Such is the WJC.

i dont blame subban at all. Canada was flat out beat by a team that wanted it more and excute. They filled gaps great and hounded the puck
