I think he's more so a Cammalleri than a Kessel, Collberg seems to set up in the offensive zone as opposed to scoring off the rush from what i've seen (though he has the skating to do it)

This was actually the the first name to come to mind when trying to think of a comparison today. Seems more involved defensively than Cammy, but so was Cammalleri when he first entered the NHL.

Unless you mean the pre-tournament game too? Then yes, they had one vs Canada in those games. Collberg was not used.
Okay thanks. Figured he didn't score if he went since only Vikstrand scored against the Swiss

Are there going to be any games at reasonable hours?

Much faster than Cammalleri. He's basically a speedy sniper at the crux. He does other things, he can dangle, he can play in his own zone, but at the heart of him he's a speedy sniper which is why I said Kessel. (though he's not quite as dynamic as Kessel.)

According to Timmins he plays a very similar style to Alfredsson and I concur. Alfredsson has a huge shot but plays a two way game with speed and a touch of grit. Collberg may not end up being as good as Alfredsson but their styles are very similar.

Kessel is as soft as a wet tissue and Cammalleri plays a "half court" game. I really don't like either of those comparisons.

Collberg has a long way to go to have an all round game like Alfie. They have a similar style though, so I wouldn't rule it out, but Collberg's 5 on 5 game needs a lot of work. His physical game has taken great strides though, he's definitely not soft or lacks defensive commitment. But his possession game isn't on par with, for instance, Forsberg or Lindholm.

Anyone else bored enough to stay up for Finland-Switzerland?

It is always an excercise in futility when you are comparing prospects to pros because every player is different. That being said, Alfredsson's puck possession game probably wasn't very special at the same age either. Collberg simply needs to gain some strength in order to improve this aspect of his game.

Finland aren't prepared at all. I really don't like Armia, I wouldn't trade Beaulieu for him. He's erratic and selfish and has squandered every good play Barkov and Tervainen have made. Those are the only two Finnish forwards getting anything done too. Normally I'm a homer for Finnish prospects and while I am a big fan of Granlund (the older), Teravainen and Barkov, I think we dodged a bullet with Buffalo picking Armia before us.

Their non-Maatta, Pokka and Ristolainen defenders are woeful.

Damn, 4-2 Swiss over Finland with 7 minutes to go.

Didn't see this coming for the Finns...they looked really good in the pre-tourney.

4-4 now

Wish TSN was showing that on TSN2, I could at least flip back and forth...

Damn, you're up too man?

So I guess everyone here is rooting for the Canadians today but hoping Alex G. still racks up a few points along the way?

Oh sure. It's not totally unusual for me to be awake at this hour, might as well watch some hockey.

Definitely hoping for a 5-4 Canada win...4 goals by Gally

I'm getting second-hand embarrassment just watching this U.S. team. Outhustled and outplayed in every way.
