This lockout has very badly damaged my interest in a way the last one didn't.

McMillan left with an injury in the last game.

I can't tell anyone what's happening because I had to switch to radio. AHL Live doesn't want to work, right now.

Where is everybody? I'm not able to watch the stream or listen the podcast, I just read the twitter.. So I can't actually know how guys are playing or anything like that
No visual feed tends to turn people away.

They got dominated most of the 1st period, and mostly dominated the 2nd period, can't tell much more as I'm listening to radio.

I don't think Etem has much chemistry with Holland.

We're 7-3-1 in December.

Another good game from Bob.

So just been looking at some of the stats of the Admirals (have barely followed hockey this lockout)

It seems the likes of Etem/McMillan/DSP are seriously struggling to put up points? Anyone have any reports on how some of these players are going?

Exit Dose can probably give the best reports but I'll give my opinions from the 15 or so games I've seen.

McMillan is not being used at all in an offensive role. He's generating some chances line but he's mainly used in defensive assignments and he's been pretty good in that role. He's mostly played on the third line this season.

Etem has looked much more comfortable at the AHL level since early November but he's still streaky as hell. He's starting to find other ways to score other than just skating around defensemen like he did in juniors although he's still capable of doing that every now and then in the AHL.

DSP has looked ok, he's been shuffled around the lineup a lot which has probably affected his numbers. I don't know how much offensive potential he actually has, he's good good instincts and vision but lacks a bit of finishing ability.

I'd add that McMillan's days as an NHL player likely over (barring few call-ups per season). He's turned into a grinder, and I think we have better options than him.

Etem is still finding his ways, but is developing all-around game.

Thanks for the posts

Having not seen Etem, his totals seem a little disappointing, but if he's trying to expand his game per say, then I don't mind that at all.

Shame about McMillan, it really did look like he could become a solid 3rd liner a couple of years ago, but seemingly DSP could be a replacement in that sense, bigger body as well

Couldn't disagree more(about the last part). McMillan is clearly a grinder but To me he clearly has some offensive skills, but rarely has any opportunity to showcase his two way abilities. Mainly because of the lockout and having more depth at the AHL level.

I don't see a ton of better options at least in our system. McMillan shows the ability to play in all roles at all positions from what I've seen in the AHL. I'd certainly rather give him a shot than retreads like Hagman etc.

Palmieri injured on the play.

Falcons lost 6 home games in a row, last win was 5-0 against Ad's.

I didn't see last night's game, but apparently Andersen is healthy again. He relieved Bobkov and saved all nine shots faced.

Preparing for an NHL season?

Hopefully this means Ducks will start soon and they know they will call up a few guys to the big club meaning the Ads will need a few players.

One ca hope right?

I totally forgot about Fasth who I think was supposed to be the backup goalie this year, but didn't something happen to him? Would Andersen be the backup instead or JDD?

It was 'only' a groin injury, Fasth should have recovered from that now and be ready to go if there's a shortened season.
