June negociation rule removed (UFA)

http://www.rds.ca/hockey/chroniques/205927.html

You can negociate in the last 2 week of June with your UFA this year. They removed the rule for this year and there is some talk about removing it completely.

It doesnt help us. More time for the other team to sign their player... less player that we can sign

Gonna help Ottawa who try to sign Redden and Chara.

well it gives us time to talk to Huet and Bouillon. I don't think it really helps other teams. If a player is set to test the market then he will test it. I think this rule was made for Carolina and Edmonton ..they will prolly finish the playoffs close to the 15th and won't have enough time to negotiate with their FA.

I am not sure what they meant to accomplish anyhow in the first place with that 2 week restriction.

Huet will be more difficult to sign than Bouillon, who will come back into the fold wagging his tail.
