Will he be drafted in 2013?

If so what round will he be selected in the draft?

I think he will be a 1st round pick next draft. His WJC play has been on par with or better then some 1st rounders from the last 2 drafts.

Wait he's 2014 eligible not 2013?

Yes, he'll almost certainly be selected. Probably somewhere between the second and fourth round of the draft. Martin Reway could go in the later rounds too. I remember hearing that there's a good 1995 born defenseman playing in Slovakia who could be drafted too, ala Gernat.

He's a late 94, 2013 draft.

His birthday is Nov 30, 1994 according to Elite Prospects. That means he was almost eligible last year, so this is his draft year. He'll only be a junior-aged player for one more season.

Agreed. I like Dano a lot, but you simply can't take penalties like that.

Personally, I think Dano has much better potential than any of the other players on team Slovakia, including Reway and Ceresnak.

He was great in the WJ.

He is a really intriguing prospect, he isn't the biggest guy but the size doesn't affect him, he still is gritty, battles and goes to the tough areas.

He's a good skater and has good hands and a good shot.

I think he will be a 2nd or 3rd rounder.

I loved his play, really a standout on team Slovakia and he didn't look "smallish" at all. Maybe a 2nd rounder?

I believe he has the potential to rise to the first round if he continues to impress in his KHL stint with Slovan.

From what I saw during the tournament, I would have no problem with the Canucks taking Dano in the 1st round.

Gritty, fearless, competetive, hard shot, good vision, skates well and seems like a very smart player that reads the play well. Looked a bit like Joe Pavelski IMO.

Don't see this kid lasting past the 1st rd. Will be a huge riser between now and the draft IMO.

3rd rounder, Tatar-like player. I doubt he will rise between now and draft. He's playing 4th line and is not good enough to get bigger icetime.

How many 17 year olds play at the top end of a KHL roster?

Never seen Dano play besides the WJC's but his skillset looks like it would translate very well to the pro game in N. America. The guy always looked good in traffic and never stopped competing - a key to succeeding in the AHL/NHL.

He will be a huge riser on draft day IMO.

Perhaps, personally I really like William Carrier for our 1st.

He's a pretty big guy who is a good skater and is the complete offensive package, he's rippin up the Q with 42 points in 32 games on a terrible team (Cape Breton) He is also a very hardworker and does have a mind for the defensive side of the game aswell.

I think he could be the perfect playmaker to go along with Jensen in the future, both have size and speed, Carrier would be the playmaker and Jensen could be the finisher.

There is big difference between Tatar and Dano. Tatar is better skater, not faster but quicker, Dano has hardly average speed and average foot speed.
Dano is also lazy lacking intensity on many shifts while Tatar always played with passion and strong effort.

So what is your projection on Daňo?

Personally I donīt like him much, donīt think there is plenty of space for his improvement in future(barring defensive game). He never wonīt be bottom six forward and donīt think he is good enough for top six role. Maybe on weaker team but not on good team.
Thatīs my opinion, could be wrong.
