I don't understand how Howie Long mentions the Vikings, Seahawks, Cowboys, Redskins and then specifically says the Bears are the team that can't win in the playoffs. Seriously? The ****ing Red Skins or Cowboys? Give me a break. The Vikings? Ponder...lmao. The Seahawks shouldn't even be in the playoffs if not for the Packers debacle and the screw job against the Bears(refs admitted they screwed us). They are a great home team but a mediocre football team and should be like 8-8, 9-7. Bears are better than all those teams IMO.
i think its awful hard to keep a coach who makes the playoffs one time in 6 seasons.
As do most of us, but we all know that since they're 10-6, that the Bears will argue "10-6 makes playoffs most years" and that Lovie is under contract one more year so they might as well not eat that salary. Lovie will be back next year because of that win, regardless of whether or not we make playoffs at this point.
So you wanted the Bears to win this afternoon which keeps their playoffs hopes very alive, but you also want the Vikings to win today so the Bears don't go to the playoffs, and then in the end the Bears only get a worse draft pick out of it... and Lovie likely stays regardless.
yea because we got to play a 7-9 team in the playoffs then got dismantled by the packers.
We also earned a bye-week the first week, so that is the same as a first round win. The Seahawks still beat the Saints, so it's not like we got handed them. They earned that spot, proving any team can get a win in the playoffs.
I would feel so much better if the Vikings had anybody in the backfield besides Adrian Peterson. Foster, Rice, anybody. Why does it have to be Adrian Peterson.

not really. my only concern at this point is not watching a lovie coached team any more. not gonna root for them to lose games to get a slightly better draft pick.
and tebow won a playoff game last year, should the broncos have kept him as the starter? a bye I'd not a win either.

How is that dumb? If you earn a bye-week the first week, it means you didn't have to play the first round and are in the second round, just like the teams that won the first round. If it wasn't a big deal to get a bye in the first week, teams that have locked up a playoff spot would sit their starters and stop trying much earlier in the season. Getting a bye-week is a big deal, just like winning the first round in the playoffs. It means your in the second round.
I think it would be hilarious if the Pack purposely threw this game.
you mean like the bungals did vs the jets like 2-3 years ago so they could play them in the playoffs and then got destroyed? i think they'd rather potentially see the bears in po's anyway
Packers won't throw the game. They're playing for the first round bye as well as home field advantage against everyone but the Falcons. I'm sure they would prefer the Bears in the playoffs because they have their number. If I were the Packers, I would rather play the Bears than Adrian Peterson.
