Schroeder with another great shot, barely saved by the Heat goalie. Needs to keep shooting, his shot is very, very good (not far behind Hodgson's).

Yeah, it's not like he practically made the goal happen!

Still no idea why the 1st line (Haydar especially) get so much time...

Worst player ever, his 6'4 frame, puck-protection, fighting ability, scoring ability, and playmaking ability just makes him a glorified goon.

The disappointing thing is he didn't maul someone before passing.

Ahhh, Schroeder misses the empty net from a wide angle. Nice pass by Kassian.

If Corsi were tracked, Haydar and Ebbett would be near the bottom of the league.

No idea why they get 1st unit PP time, and the most ES ice time...

I think PP is the only place they do somewhat well but the fact that they're still on the 1st unit is indeed perplexing. More so in the case of Haydar than Ebbett.

Tough to evaluate Cannata much on this. Not enough shots/chances against so far. 2 goals on 10 shots or so, which isn't great. Moreover, 2 posts as well.

And Haydar just turned over the puck on the PP.

Haydar on the PP... Giving up shorthanded chance after shorthanded chance. Horrible player.

No idea why he's the captain. Not showing leadership in anything...

Kassian was buckled over heading to the bench after hitting a player. Hopefully he is not too badly hurt.

Nice stick by Schroeder defensively and overall good job defensively by Kassian on this shift.

Man this team can never make it easy on themselves.

Cannata a little shaky at times but survived

And Haydar gets first star

Thought both Schroeder and Kassain had good efforts . Not perfect but contributed to the win in a big way. Still best player by a good bit was Tanev. Plays like this and he looks top 4 material maybe with Canucks - especially if Edler can't regain form.

Kassian has a knack for some clever little touch plays. Sometimes way overdone but with time maybe it starts to work better with him - like it did with Bertuzzi.

Rodin showing enough to give you some hope. Clearly Schroeder is well ahead of him however.

Lack is supposedly skating so I'm wondering about the surgery comments.

It was said during the broadcast last night, but it was only a rumour, not confirmed. If he's skating, its good news.

Interesting thing I just saw is that Kassian and Schroeder have only one PP goal between them.

The Wolves' commentators also criticized Kassian for making some poor decisions last game.
I'm not saying his overall play is Sedin like, just those passes that led to goals. My point is he has shown flashes of great-ness and that is a good sign, especially from a big guy like Zack. He could easily be Steve Bernier, all size and hands of stone with no vision. Like all PWF type players, he will suffer consistency issues and growing pains. I just think we should just all be a little more patient before we start calling him out.

Kassian is on the 1st unit, and Schroeder is on the second. Personally, I think they should both be on the 1st, since Haydar and Ebbett are useless anyway.

From watching yesterday's game btw, JS is showing a lot of grit to his game. Has really become a very complete player... would just like to see him use his shot more and improve his finish on some of those chances in tight.

He and Kassian together really should be getting top minutes at ES right now. Likewise with PP time. Somehow the coach just refuses to acknowledge that they're his best forwards hands-down and should be getting the ice-time to reflect that.
