Out here on the east coast this is the first game we won't have to wake up at 5:30 AM to watch. 9:30 AM is much more agreeable

How does it feel West coast? I've re-arranged my schedule to accommodate these 5:30 starts, now it's your turn

4-3 Canada.

On the East Coast we've had to deal with this. It's going to be nice to have a later start time out here. I will get up watch the Spengler Cup then this game.

I would much rather get up at 6:30 for a game than stay up till 5:30! Watching it like the other games.

6 am is too early?? WHA?? for Canada vs Russia at WJC??

remember - early bird gets the worm, second mouse gets the cheese though

Sigaryov out for the game, still with injury concerns
Kosov moved to 3rd line

Zharkov-Khokhlochev-Yakupov
Slepyshev-Grigorenko-Kucherov
Kosov-Tkachyov-Nichushkin
Kapustin-Mozer-Shalunov

Makarov will start in net

I'm considering staying up a few more hours to watch US-Slovakia, but most likely, screw it

Depends on how you go about it..... Having a nap before hand is risky, and makes you feel terrible... If you can up until 7:30, sleep feels pretty darn good lol.

I just stayed up for all of the games. A can of Pepsi and some snacks and I was good to go. Way better than waking up at 5:30 IMO.

Should definitely be interesting from an Oilers fan perspective. We've got two 1st overall team captains to watch, that doesn't happen too often.

I thought Subban was a horrible choice and predicted that he would lose the game for us against the USA. Then he plays like a champ and proves me dead wrong. Hopefully Murphy will also prove me dead wrong and come up big for this game, because I'm not impressed at all so far and I know he's better than this.

Unfortunately I'm not sure how I'll watch this game since I'm working a night shift tonight I can either wake up with 3-4 hours of sleep or stay up and get maybe 4-5 hours after the game. WJHC are but once a year so I'll have to sacrifice some sleep because I don't want to miss this game. Hopefully there's lots of goals and points between Yakupov and RNH with Canada coming out on top.

Mark Masters ‏@markhmasters

Canada lines shuffled v Russia:
Drouin-RNH-Scheifele;
Huberdeau-Strome-Rattie;
Danault-Jenner-Ritchie;
Camara-McNeill-MacKinnon/Lipon

Interesting. I agree with Drouin on the top line, Huberdeau hasn't done much since the Germany game. He's trying to be too cute with the puck. I'd rather see MacKinnon with Jenner and Danault but Ritchie's coming off a strong game so oh well. Only way I'm pissed is if Lipon gets more ice time than Mac, because IMO he's clearly the 13th forward. Rattie has the potential to be lethal on the 2nd line, he's played well.

You win some you lose some... They finally shuffle the top 3 around which gives me some hope that Hube - Nate - Jo will be re-united, but for naught....but Drouin on the first line is a good bonus too lol...

Great to see. He's earned it.

I'd stay up but I barely got any sleep last night
