Lovie stays but their GM can probably take a hike.

Their GM is in his first year. If anyone is taking a hike, it's Lovie.

Phil Emery is completing his 1st year as Bears GM ,, They wont be firing him yet

Another draft like 2012 and he should be fired ,, Absolutely bombed at draft outside of Alshon Jeffrey ... Shea McClellin may be the worst pick in 2012 Draft. An absolutely awful waste of a 19th overall pick

Lovie makes playoffs and he saves his job IMO ,, He doesn't and he better be fired

Sounds like Mayhew wants him gone.

The extension was signed before this season. I'm sure they regret it now and will likely buy him out. He's a flat out awful coach. Worst in the league imo.

According to one of the Eagles beat writers, he expects the Eagles to make a splash with this coaching hire.

Playoffs or no playoffs the expectation is that 10-6 season finish makes Lovie 100% sure thing to return for final year of his contract

Romeo just said post-game that he has not been told anything about his coaching future, and that no meeting has been scheduled.

What a tough season

Its an utter embarrassment that Lovie Smith will continue to coach the Bears

1 playoff appearance since SB loss

2 complete collapses in back to back year ,, This years historic

Absolute embarrassment

Lovie should be gone, and any sensible organization would make a coaching change after this disaster of a way to end the year, but this is the Bears we're talking about, so it probably ain't happening.

Virgina is happy with Lovie and his 10-6 season will be used to get him his final year

Today was worst thing to happen to Bears ,, Won only to see Vikes pull off upset

Absolute worst scenario

Thing is, it is rare for 10-6 teams to miss playoffs. I know they had that awful stretch, but you have to take the many injuries into account too. I think Lovie has earned one more year, with the stipulation that if they fail to make the playoffs again, he is gone no matter what.

They were 7-1 finishing 3-5 ,, And they suffered less injuries then several other teams

And the collapse vs Seahawks sticks out as most costly moment of season (When Lovie's defense absolutely failed)

Injury excuses were used last year when Cutler got hurt and they were 7-3 leading to finish of 8-8

He deserves no more excuses ,, And his hand picked OC Mike Tice was absolute failure (Like every other OC he picked)

A legit franchise ,, one with desire to win would dump him

Upon further thought, with the season being over and all, I'm in the Raiders should not fire Dennis Allen camp. Cuts to the roster and a new OC is all that's needed, we can build to something, but we have to get better through the draft and use this #3 pick right.

And Lovie Smith's 08 team blew it in final week of season ,, Win and they were in playoffs

They lost to Texans finishing 9-7

- The debacle that was SB (Rex is my QB )
- 08 failure
- 11 collapse
- 12 historic collapse

Him knowing nothing about offense and hiring failures as OC (Ever since his first hire in 04) or hiring his BFF who was lunatic (Martz)

Not to mention Kellen Davis and Devin Hester both guys he is close to being absolute jokes and not even getting benched when they both clearly deserved it all year

I highly doubt nor do I feel that Allen will be fired but with the cap issues they have and the lack of any draft picks last year Allen won't have much to work with his entire contract. If the draft was loaded at the top I would try and trade that pick for a later 1 and a 2 or 3 just to try and make up for last years mess. They have needs everywhere (except kicking) so the more picks the better. Not going to have enough cap room to chase any big FA's so maybe a couple older guys with a little left in the tank may plug a couple holes for a smaller price tag.

I really like Star Lotulelei and don't believe in trading down though. When I see what teams like Cleveland and St. Louis got for their trouble...I don't think we can do that. We could really use a franchise defensive tackle, just look what those kinds of guys do for other teams, and it's a glaring fault of ours that we don't have one. If he's there we should not move out of the pick at all, even though we need the help. I agree that we probably aren't going to be very good for the duration of Allen's contract.

Raiders are in a bad cap situation this offseason as well. Going to take time to rebuild the franchise.

QB - Palmer is fine short term. Need a long term solution (doesn't need to be in this draft and I don't like any of the QBs). Don't think Pryor reads defenses well enough to be in he RG3, Wilson type of QB

RB - McFadden can't stay healthy and didn't fit the zone blocking scheme. One has to change. IMO, Raiders won't be a playoff team for another season or 2, and that takes McFadden close to the end of his high end shelf life. Drafted in 2008, so he's had 5 years already. Add 2 more to that and he'd in the NFL for 7 seasons. RBs don't last that long anymore unless they are part of a duo and can limit the hits they take a season. Better to deal him if they can get a good enough offer (2nd round pick). They won't get the benefit they need from him while they continue their rebuild.

TE - Myers okay for now. Not the biggest need, but could use an upgrade.

WR - Like Moore. Ford needs to stay healthy to be a good #3 guy. DHB, really a #2 WR at best. Need to continue to develop and be more consistent as a group.

OL - Needs work. A top end LT would be excellent, one like a Joe Thomas/Jake Long.

DL - Need to dump Kelly and put pressure on the QB. DT would work here.

LB - Sad that McClain isn't living up to expectations.

CB - Need help at both corner and safety.

Lots of holes for the Raiders. Losing that #2 pick, #36 is going to hurt.

Team needs to be revamped and discipline has to be paramount.

Please fire Jason Garrett. Hire someone who understands clock management and running the ball every now and then.

Why would a coach be fired after one year? Dennis Allen is not getting fired

Al Davis is no longer in charge of operations and they are committed to a long term rebuilding project

Do not think Garrett should be sacked

Problem with Cowboys as said before is an organizational problem and not a coaching one

Team simply has drafts based on picking "flashy" players instead of addressing team concerns. Jerry is a terrible GM and should fire himself. The Redskins were terrible until Danny finally decided to go hands-off and hire football people to take care of football decisions. Jerry Jones should back off, but with his personality, that is not possible. As long as he is involved with the Cowboys, they will never see success again.
