We just need to score some goals. Early and often preferably.

US lines:

Gaudreau - Miller - Barber
Galchenyuk - Kuraly - Vesey
Pietila - Bardreau - Hartman
Lucia - Trocheck - Biggs
Grimaldi

Ghost - Trouba
McCabe - Jones
Reilly - Murphy
Sieloff

Rob Simpson had tweeted earlier that Housley was expected to overhaul his lines. He swapped one pair of right wingers again. Whole bunch of changes from Housley...

At least he changed McCabe to Jones... Still expected more up front.

The change I want to see is Galchenyuk at center and Miller at wing, but it seems there is no chance that that happens. Clearly Grimaldi getting the shame.

Maybe he'll change them up on the fly?

Did Galy play wing at the Four Nations tournament?

It sounds like Barber and Vesey have actually switched spots now. So Barber back with Kuraly and Gally.

Changes in Slovak lines as well. Reway moved to 1st line with Dano and Mikus.

Which tournament? For some reason I'm thinking of the U-18 tournament of the same name from a month ago.

It's not the play-offs yet, so whoever loses this game, will need to play 2 more games in the relegation group against Latvia and the next-to-last team from the other group.

So basically he just threw Grimaldi under the bus. Okay.

He was at the Summer tournament, wasn't he?

Vessey? What are your thoughts on this, Mr. Bonney?

Hoping for an upset, expecting the opposite. However, the Slovaks have given a scare to both Canada and Russia, so anything can happen.

Well my guess is they don't want to play those either and will have wished they boarded the plane. Point taken though a dumb comment, but for that to happen now with how far the program has come to be in the relegation round two years in a row a lot of heads should roll.

Grimaldi isn't playing anything like he can or normally does but how is that going to change anything other than the one line?

He is one of the only guys driving the net and looking for rebounds, might be the idea.

The Slovaks will give the US a run for their money. I think the USA will win, but it will be close.

Anyone have a decent stream besides NHL.com? That one always lags for me.

Now that's some power-line! It can be risky to concentrate all your best players into a single line, but we'll see. It's promising these 3 are still so young and already leaders on the U20 team.

(Slovak TV currently showing highlights from the 2008 WJC defeat of the US by Slovakia, with Janus performing magic in goal.)
