I doubt he makes the show, considering all that and his lack of a defensive game.
Just a quick question, how much have you seen of him this year?

I had somewhat similar thoughts last year, but watching him multiple times this year in Kitchener makes me disagree with you now

Maybe he mispoke but Dorion (or Tim Murray - I forget which) said on the Team 1200 that the senators thought he would probably have made the team. But what does he know

Agreed.

It's well known that Team Canada's coaching staff (primarily Head Coach Steve Spott) and the Coach and GM of Kitchener (Puempel's team) have not seen eye to eye for years now. That's why I'm really not surprised that Puempel didn't even get a sniff.

It's a shame, really.

I hate this international "standard" of refereeing. That Vikstrand penalty was BS.

Okay, so Canada has scored two goals on the PP.

But you've got a 5 minute advantage, and still no MacKinnon on the ice? Come on Spott...

Wikstrand played togeather with his d partner a very solid game and scored one assist in Swedens 7-4 win against Finland

Anyone who's afraid that Wikstrand won't make Elitserien should be quite calm, apperently there's 10 out of 12 Elitserien clubs that are interested in Wikstrand.

This is not the Olympics. Canada in the Olympics learned from 2006 that you don't leave out better players just because they are young, in the WJC, not so much, it's too focused on winning and favoring older players (has worked the past few year, no wait it hasn't, well Canada usually has the depth that they should win however the team is constructed).

Sounds like a bunch of Hockey Canada blah blah blah.

You're playing the kid on the fourth line. What else is he there for but to be on the power play?

I thought RNH was supposed to be good? Drouin is so much better than him.

I dont see how Yakupov will be anything special. All he has his speed and rush offense. Anything else and hes useless.

I think RNH has been our best player this game. Despite how fancy Drouin is being, I think his success is amplified by RNH's.

He's been OK but i expect a lot more from him. Seems like hes playing an over simplified game and making the simple passes. He's not being the game breaker he can be.
