The roster now looks like:

Goalies (3): Boltshauser Luca (Färjestad BK / SWE), Kuonen Robin (EV Zug), Nyffeler Melvin (GCK Lions)

Defence (7): Antonietti Eliot (Genève-Servette HC), Dotti Isacco (HC Ambrì-Piotta), Guerra Samuel (HC Davos), Hächler Cédric (ZSC Lions), Kukan Dean (Tingsryd AIF / SWE), Marti Christian (Blainville-Boisbriand Armada / QMJHL), Müller Mirco (Everett Silvertips / WHL)

Offence (13): Andrighetto Sven (Rouyn Noranda Huskies / QMJHL), Balmelli Lukas (Drumondville Voltigeurs / QMJHL), Bertaggia Alessio (Brandon Wheat Kings / WHL), Bertschy Christoph (SC Bern), Künzle Mike (GCK Lions), Leone Robin (Kloten Flyers), Martschini Lino (EV Zug), Neuenschwander Jan (HC Davos), Praplan Vincent (Kloten Flyers), Richard Tanner (Guelph Storm / OHL), Sieber Lukas (HC Davos), Simion Dario (HC Lugano), Zangger Sandro (GCK Lions),

There is one big problem in this roster- goalies are small, but defenders are big, goalies will not see 50% of shots if other team will be in powerplay.
Anyway good luck to you guys.

They'll look through their defenders' legs!

Sorry for going off topic.

Last year the U18 tournament from Zuchwil was streamed here. Anyone know whether this year's tournament might be streamed as well? Here's the stats page for the upcoming tournament.

Switzerland has lost an exhibition game against Russia with 5-7. The Swiss goals came from Hächler, Bertschy (2x), Martschini and Bertaggia.

Doesn't mean much probably, but it's nice that it was close.

So on the 27th it's Latvia vs. Switzerland. Who has the better team? Seems like a bit of an offyear for both... Any predictions?

Isacco dotti and Vincent Praplan left the team because of injuries. Phil Baltisberger and Martin Ness are going to join the team.

There should be a slight advantage for the Swiss...

Interesting note for the Latvians is, that both their Goaltenders play in the Swiss Junior Elite A-League... Toms Andersons is another player for Latvia who plays in Switzerland...

So it could very well be, that the Swiss Hockey School will beat itself...

Glad he gets some experience, could be the next special player coming out of Switzerland.

That is a win win situation ... you win or some players training with you win

they would beat themselves if they would start lighting up their own goalie (à la Furrer some years earlier )

i trust they won't and i am hopefull in a win.

Great loss (against the Swedes in SO)

seriously i liked this team. I saw it for the first time and they are good.

a bit more composure, luck and we are in the semies.
then ... the sky is the limit. On 1 game and with fire. Everything can burn.

Kukan was impressive, bertaggia ...
didn't see too much Andrighetto.

Mirco Müller played a very good game against Sweden. He looked so calm with the puck and didn't make any noteworthy mistakes. He's only 17 years old and has good size.

Does anyone know a bit more about him? What are his drafting chances?

Judging by that really limited time I have seen him one might think that he can be the next good defenseman coming out of Switzerland... but it might just have been a good game.

On the first list for the 2013 draft he's #7 out of all WHL-players, so this is not that bad. And if he continues to play this way, who knows.

If you look at the stats of the team there are some interesting facts:

- Micro Müller +5, best of the team. Just behind him Marti and Bertschy with +4
- Neuenschwander with -4 worst of the team. Hächler and Kukan with a weak game vs. CZE.
- Only 4 players are under 0 in this stat.
- Many different players with points, also more than one point. Top-scoring guys Martschini, Andrighetto and Künzle played in 3 different lines.
- Mike Künzle had 5 shots on goal and 3 goals!!

Switzerland as a team also very high in the scoring effiency-list and especially the PP list. 5 PP goals in 15 PPs is quite good.

@bigbadbruins7

Russia I guess, good memories around.

There's no Nino or Conz to troll the Russians this year, though.

Yes, but the team is much more balanced that it was 2010.

Canada or Russia ?

I prefer Canada ! (but we'll play Russia.

Russians will win the WJC so ... playing Canada seems better in terms of stats and probs.

Amazing job by the Swiss. Finland not making it is a shock as I really thought they were going to compete for a medal after last year's showing. It's good to see the Swiss make it in the top six. It shows they are making strides every year in their hockey development.

There is a "blame the coach"-thread on this board. We need a "praise the coach"-thread I think, great job by Sean Simpson.
