Yep, what a play by RNH there, so smart. And just as beautiful a finish from Drouin.

As long as we get gold Yak can light up any Canadian player except RNH. Especially a Jet.

Canada all over Russia. Mironov (not Boris) takes a penalty.

EDIT: PP rather incompetent.

It's kinda funny how RNH is the Canadian hero right now while Yakupov is the big, bad Russian that everyone wants to fail. Happy to have them both

By far Hamilton's best game of the tournament.

I have never used this comparison before but...

RNH looks a lot like Gretzky. Same skating style, looks prodding but darts so quickly, always seems to be in the right position, makes subtle passes (3rd goal floater pass), not physical but seems to be in right position to protect puck, clever at stripping puck

He doesn't seem to be doing a lot but has 3 points so far

Watching this game... all I keep thinking...

Subban >> Wedgewood/Visentin.

Subban playing well suddenly. This is good.

Marc McNeil with a post on the PK.

Excellent coverage of the Russian PP. Yakupov seems dangerous.

Too early for the "Drownin' for Drouin" thread?

I'm sure I'm nit the first to say this, but this tournament has (at least temporarily) elevated Jones and Drouin above Mackinnon for me.

Drouin's stock probably skyrocketing.

Drouin is making a solid case for the first overall selection. I can't help but think of him as a younger Nuge out there. He's picked up where Mackinnon has left off in my opinion. Of course their linemates, ice time and advantageous opportunities offensively have to be concerned but in my eyes Drouin has looked a lot more composed and skilled between the two in the o-zone. Obviously Mackinnon appears as more of a prototypical power forward with skilled upside but you can't help in considering Drouin for that top selection. From an Oilers perspective this is positive news if we get in a slot to select that sizeable and skilled 2C in Mackinnon and not have to be first overall... Jones is also very influential in this selection.

He just doesnt stand out as a top prospect.
He sets up on the wall and moves the puck just as quickly as Grigorenko.
Problem for him is he's so scouted against its tough for Russian PP to set him up in a shooting spot.

I know that he doesn't have any points tonight but how in the hell can you say that he hasn't stood out tonight or that he isn't a top prospect?

I like Musil but I think we're going to regret passing on Jenner.
