Sexy Rexy is staying in New York.

I love him for the soundbyte more than anything but I actually agree with that.

Eagles and Chip Kelly is just a disaster in the making

NFL teams should steer clear of Kelly

Bears made the right call with letting go of Lovie. It was time for a change.

That being said, it'll all depend on who they hire for if this was really a good move or not. If they make a lateral movement and hire some random D coordinator or a scrub ex-coach that no one cares about (Gailey), then it was a bad move. If they hire a quality head coaching candidate like a Gruden (NOTE: I AM NOT EXPECTING THIS AT ALL) or an up and coming offensive coordinator, then I'm fine with the move.

It's that once again to discuss potential coaching changes, coaches on or about to go on the hotseat, etc.

http://espn.go.com/college-football/...cording-report

ASU Head Coach Todd Graham signed an extension though 2018.

Safe to say Bo Pelini could be in the hotseat over his remarks about Nebraska Fans?

Is it time to put both Mike Shanahan and Tom Coughlin in the hotseat?

Mike seems like an obvious yes but Tom is a tough one here considering his Super Bowl success but the Giants have been going downhill as it appears since the Giants last Super Bowl win.

Shanahan drafted a guy in RGIII who has brought excitement and hope back to Skin franchise

This year is turning into disaster but he should not be on hotseat and if Synder dismisses him so quickly after hiring him and knowing it was longterm plan then he will continue to be viewed as one of the worst owners in sports

Coughlin needs to be on the hotseat. I'd also keep an eye on Kubiak in Houston. At some point, with all that talent, they have to take the next step.

Shanahan was 10-6 last season. Starting 0-3 with a limping QB can't have him on the hotseat already, can it?

Mike Smith's seat might be starting to get a little warm. Atlanta really ought to have been in the Super Bowl last year. Might have missed their window as they look to be going backwards this year. If they lose to NE and drop to 1-3 collars might start to tighten.

Coughlin and Shanahan and Smith are all probably fine. They've earned the right to have an off year or two. It's like saying Mike Tomlin is on the hot seat just because the Steelers are 0-3.

Really the only hot seat I can see at the moment is Leslie Frazier, maybe Greg Schiano, though I think his QB switch has bought him some time. Still early though.

Disappointed we won't get Lane Kiffin to kick around anymore.

Don't worry, Belichick is bound to retire sometime soon, with the way Kiffin keeps falling up I would expect him to be named the new Pats coach promptly after that happens.

I can't believe the AD didn't meet with him beforehand and say something to the effect of "ya know, you really can't afford to lose this game otherwise I'm going to be forced to let you go."

There's the timeline of events. Decision was made during the 3rd quarter when ASU put up 28 points

People will like this because nobody likes Lane Kiffin but I think USC was always going to be pretty mediocre with the sanctions in place, that level of scholarship reductions really affects a program in a major way.

People tend to think of football as a game played by the starting players but there's a reason the SEC (and others) oversign to the hizzo and why powerhouse teams had a massive advantage when they could offer unlimited scholarships prior to the 70s and why that number was limited and that limit gradually reduced to the current 85 to avoid player stockpiling. Football is a game of attrition, USC is basically an elite FCS team at the moment.

He IS a Cali guy, so that's a move that could make sense for him. Won't happen til after this season is over though.

So Lane was finally sacked? Guess we will have to wait till January until Mack officially "steps down".

Petersen has already turned down better gigs in CA. I see Haden looking to bring in a guy like himself, with SC ties and the experience and clout to recruit because they have been there and done that. I see him making a run at Del Rio, Fisher and then maybe taking a flyer on Herm Edwards (also a CA. guy) before looking to a college coach. He needs someone with experience working with a limited roster and someone who can sit in a kids living room and tell a recruit and his family that he knows what it will take for their kid to make it to the NFL. They need to max out the recruits they get since they have fewer for a while. And someone who can handle the spotlight and scrutiny the next guy will be under.

I think all 3 are long shots (Fisher just started something in STL, although it looks ugly as of late) Del Rio will be a candidate for open NFL jobs at the end of the season. HOU? TB? either N.Y. team. But I think this is the only college job that he would consider) Edwards is just a thought. Not sure if he even wants to coach anymore but if so the less time consuming gig might tempting.

I think Sarkesian will be top of the college list with Sumlin a close 2nd. Also, not sure that they would leave their current jobs.

If Haden gets a few No's it wouldn't shock me if Norv Turner's name pops up. I don't think he is on the radar right now but his SC, So Cal and NFL ties would seem to fit.
