Eberle is the most valuable so i'm guessing they would want him and the Oilers would still have to add.

I think the Coyotes wouldn't be out of line asking for RNH back in return.

It's RNH or bust, since PHX won't trade a franchise D for a franchise W.

HF has a hard-on for OEL... It seems everyone would take him over guys like Hall, Eberle, Seguin..

Another Oiler for a Coyote D'man proposal.
I don't see a top center being offered. I don't see Nugent-Hopkins being offered. It would take an extreme overpayment, and the Coyotes are close to their contract limit, so it would be very unlikely. The players offered aren't very physical.

Last time I checked a potential #1 D-man is worth more than a potential top line forward.

It really would make sense for the Oilers and Coyotes to do a forward for defenseman trade, but I don't see it happening with OEL. I could see something around Yandle maybe, but the issue there is that the Oil won't move RNH/Hall/Eberle for Yandle. Maybe Yakupov, but there would need to be more pieces involved.

And Edmonton fans have a hard-on for their own players.

For good reason. If you actually watched him, you'd know why. He's a #1 on a team with Yandle, Michalek, etc. and guys like Gormley and Rundblad coming up. And he's probably a top 5 defender in the Western Conference (Weber, Suter, Doughty, Pietr, OEL), all while only being 21.

It'd take RNH+ to get the Coyotes to even listen.

Sure, but that goes both ways. It would take OEL for the Oilers to even listen to Phoenix asking about Hall/Eberle/RNH/Yakupov.

Both OEL and RNH mean too much to their respected franchises for them to be swapped, even though there might be value. A superstar straight up for a superstar rarely happens, especially for these two considering how young they are.

The Oilers would swap one of their extra forwards, however talented, for OEL in a heartbeat. The question would be whether or not Phoenix is desperate enough for a star forward to make that trade. I'd say no, given the GM and Coach involved in that decision.

It would take special circumstances for it to happen. I would prefer the more physical one over the scorer, at least on the Coyotes.

Ya as much as it'd help both teams, as a fan of both, I don't know if either does it. The only one that Edmonton moves at this point is Yak, and I think Phoenix only does it for Hall

Nope not Hall.

I'll give you a hint, If OEL was to ever end up with Edmonton in a trade with the 'Yotes, you'd have to change your avatar and username.

And Oiler fans would hang Tambellini if he traded any of the big four to Phoenix for Yandle instead of OEL. Goes. Both. Ways.

...? No Phoenix fan mentioned Yandle. Only you. This thread is about OEL. So no, it doesn't go both ways.

Its amazing how 'flavour of the week' Oilers prospects are on the boards...

When the WJ's are over, people will be back to saying Eberle or bust.. or Schultz.. or hey, Hall just scored another hat-trick, maybe he's the only one worth trading for.

It still goes both ways, and if you can't see why, maybe we should slow it down a bit.

If you don't like the name Yandle go ahead and insert "any defenseman on Phoenix who isn't as good as OEL". Seriously, its not like we're actual GM's here. Just because an Oiler fan asks the price doesn't mean that Phoenix were to hold all the cards in a real trade. It doesn't change the fact that IF Oilers management were going after a defenseman from Phoenix, they wouldn't trade RNH/Hall/Eberle and probably wouldn't trade Yakupov for "any defenseman on Phoenix who isn't as good as OEL".
