But what I do know is these awards are usually given out based on stats, you don't see 3rd and 4th line players with 3 points winning them. I'd rather have what Collberg has done than what Lindholm, or Karlsson has done on my team any day
So you're saying you dont really pay attention to who is who when it's not Canada?

I'm very happy to have Collberg on my team, he's got a wicked shot and is one of the reasons our PP is so deadly. That is where he shines, he's still ok otherwise aswell but a top 3 forward in group A? Na... To say that Collberg has been better than Karlsson would be an understatement since he's probably been the worst forward on the team.

I don't pay attention to specific player no because I don't really care if it's Collberg or Rakell who have that good defensive backcheck it doesn't matter to me, it might matter who scored a good goal, but I can see that in the stats anyway. What matter most when watching Sweden v. Swiss is who wins not which player makes the most good plays

I'm not going to go off stats. I've actually watched every game in Canada's group.

Draisaitl-RNH-Danko
Harrington-Trouba
Subban

Galchenyuk has points, but has not been a difference maker on his team. Russia is scoring by committee, but Grigerenko and Kucherov have been good. Yarullin could be a replacement for Harrington, but he has been a beast defensively and deserves the nod. Subban has 4 wins to Gibson's 2, but more importantly has only let in 1 goal in each game against the advancing teams. Strome and Drouin get honorable mention from me too.

Your all star team so far

RnH
Galyenchuk
Schiefele
Harrington
Trouba
Makarov

This is base on the combine 4 games that they all played not just 1 or 2 very good games.
And I just did not look at the flash, because there are players that are flashy and look ridiculous one or two shift a game and it will be talked about the whole time. I looked at the all around game, defensive games, away from the puck play, etc..
I would put oulette also but the two that I have have been slightly better. Also I have seen more of the NA player than the rest so there might be a bias on my side, but the only European I saw and hear that is doing good is Terraivean. The Barkov, Lindholm, etc not so good of a tourney yet.

Fire away....

Musil? Really? He hasn't been that good at all so far.. the best D-man from Czech republic is Hrbas, pretty easily.
If someone from CR then it should be forwards Jaskin or Hertl...

You clearly are not watching this tournament at all, hide the Oilers love for a second or at least name guys actually there.

RNH and Trouba should be on every list, lots of other arguments to be made though.

Trouba is contending with RNH for tournament MVP right now so if he's not on your list it's wrong.

RNH
Arvidsson
Scheifele
Trouba
Yarulin

Wikstrand, Galchenyuk, Strome, Dano, Collberg, Makarov all have a great case and the games that will truly define the all star team are all yet to be played.

Two games, against Germany and Slovakia, and Vasilevski is on your all star team?

Well at least he's probably closer to it than Rielly.

I haven't watched enough of the other group so my choices are biased.

Dano -NugentHopkins- Andrighetto
Trouba-Rielly
Gibson

I'm picking those two wingers simply for doing so well on very weak teams.

Nugent-HOpkins is self explanatory. He's just really good.

Trouba has been the Americans best player and Rielly has been a catalyst for the Canadians.

Gibson has been the goalie who has faced the most pressure with the best ratio of high play.

Nugent-Hopkins
Galchenyuk
Strome
Trouba
Yarulin
Gibson

The only other answer I will accept is Huberdeau in the place of Strome.

No Xavier Oulett so far? I know this may sound like a blind homerism as I'm a Red Wings fan but this kind is just perfect so far.
