SK keeps on rolling. Pots a shorty today and received the most icetime amongst forwards.

Kostitsyn's goal was empty net, but the streak stays alive.

FangFaction has been doing a nice job of posting weekly updates on the Preds playing during the lockout. Today he posted about Hörnqvist not resigning with Red Ice. Patric was on a one month contract that expires Nov. 1. The article is here:

http://www.fangfaction.com/2012-arti...c-red-ice.html

In the FangFaction article there is a clip of Patric scoring against Lausanne last week. When Patric scored the goal against Lausanne there was less than a minute left in regulation. It tied the game and sent it into overtime. Watching that was tough, because I’ve seen that exact same reaction from him after Pred goals – it’s suppose to be Shea (or another Predator) he’s running out to celebrate with. Can we get a CBA, please?

For more of a view of Patric’s time with Red Ice here’s a couple of links. I hope it’s okay to post them – checked the site rules and didn’t see anything against it. The first is a public page by Red Ice’s official (and very good) photographer. Lots of photos going back to Oct 3rd:

A link to an interview with Patric on a Red Ice blog radio show. It is from Monday the 22nd – the night before the Lausanne game. Patric comes on about 4 or 5 minutes in and is on for 30-40 minutes. There is a translator who translates from French to English – so it can take a while to get through a question, but I enjoyed listening to it. The first 4 or 5 minutes is all in French and has some interesting music – maybe you can skip it, if you want.

Btw, Patric has been selected to play for Sweden in the Karjala Cup next week, but his selection is dependent on him signing with a team and being insured – otherwise he will have to give up his spot.

CBA, anyone?

According to some Swiss sources Hörnqvist will sign with Fribourg but after the national-team break, so he probably won't play for Sweden.

bumping this thread.... have any of our guys come home? you would think if they believe the lockout is almost over they would start heading back this week to get readjusted to the time zones and such...
