Certainly an impressively large number of players, but don't be too hard on your team; the other 29 teams did the same thing at least once.

I remember him for single-handily winning game 7 for the Bruins against the Nucks. And Marchand's epic goal celebration when he scored that empty netter.

So glad everyone is starting to see what a special player Patrice Bergeron is.

This. One of my favorite players in the NHL, total warrior. And I don't think I've every heard anyone (fan or foe) say a bad word about him. From all accounts a real classy guy and a leader.

Quote:
Mike Richards

- Memorial Cup championship (with the Kitchener Rangers) - 2003
- World Junior gold medal - 2005
- Calder Cup championship (with the Philadelphia Phantoms) - 200405
- Winter Olympic Gold Medal - Vancouver 2010
- Stanley Cup championship (with the Los Angeles Kings) - 201112
Richards (per the NHL in an article Aug 2012 ) has the 'distinction of being the only player in NHL history to win at every level' Some have come close but he's the only one with all of them.

That's pretty impressive and he's only 27, like Bob McKenzie said of him this past draft day, he needs to get another trophy case, he's got more team hardware than anyone playing the game.

He should be the Bruins captain, too bad Chara has the captain clause in his contract

Single-handedly? Are we just ignoring Marchand's set-up and non empty-net goal?

During Bergeron's NHL 36 special, when he, Marchand several other Bruins were having dinner together, Marchand accidentally called Bergeron their captain. It was a funny moment

it's at 10:20

Amazing that he went from AA to AAA to the Q and in the NHL full time inside of 4 years.

He definately made the team out of nowhere, pretty unheard of for a mid second round pick to crack the NHL lineup their draft year.

Toews
Richards
Bergeron

It's really quite interesting that the listed players have achieved so much tangible success and, at the same time, share many traits that are pervasive throughout this group. They are all offensively gifted, possess elite defensive awareness, and have incredible work ethic.

I don't like him because his name reminds me of some kind of corruption of a hamburger. So there.

One of the few Bruins I respect alongside Orr, Bourque and McNab.

Came out of nowhere....I missed him in training camp and wondered "who is this kid" when he made the team. Saw him play and very early on he was my favorite player.....and still is. The kid is humble, classy and has a work ethic bar none....hard to believe it was Marty Lapointe who mentored him.

He rules. And will retire a Bruin with #37 hanging from the rafters.

Bergeron will get the "C" when Chara retires. As it is, he's worn an "A" almost his entire NHL career.

The most impressive thing to me is when a teammate said Bergeron is a better person than he is a hockey player.

He will be.

Chara and Bergeron are basically share the captain role. One just has a "C" and the other an "A".

The most impressive part is that most of his higher awards have come after the concussion that almost ENDED his career... So glad he was able to return to his former self, and then some. He's been my favorite player since his rookie season.
