I think it's gonna be NE vs. Denver in the AFC championship game. I dunno I just don't bet against either Brady or Manning.

Yep.

Good news though. Nobody so far is rumored to go after Del Rio. But McCoy is listed as a target for the Bears (how does that one make sense!?!?!)

For McCoy? It makes sense because of all of the NFL teams currently without a head coach, Chicago is the only one that has a legitimate upper-echelon starting QB. (And no - he's not in the Brady-Manning-Rodgers level, but he is in the next batch below them).

Edit: Actually, San Diego is similar in this respect.

I really hope we can keep both, but with Manning running the offense I would rather keep Del Rio of the two if I had to choose.

I guess I just think McCoy is completely overrated? I don't see how his experience really translates to a head coach. Just personal opinion...

SD reportedly isn't interested in Andy Reid which is good news for the AFC West.

Bills and Bears have already asked to interview McCoy....I guess the Bears are interviewing him this weekend.

They were reportedly interested in McDaniels, but L Ron Josh wants to ride on Belichick's coattails some more.

Would have been nice to have him with a division rival.

It's a bit mindboggling how a guy as incompetent as McD led the Pats team with Cassell as QB to an 11-5 record. Bill must be a freaking genius.

I know I'll catch flak for this but McDaniels is not a bad coach.

He is on the other hand bad at evaluating talent and he is arrogant about it. That was his downfall in Denver. He was given way too much power and he wasn't ready for it. He got rid of talented players like Scheffler, Marshall, Cutler and Hillis because he clashed with their personalities and he was so arrogant he thought he could win with anybody. Like Kyle Orton. When in actuality you really need top end players to win.

I think if a team was willing to hire McD as just a coach and not a talent evaluator, they'd get better results than the Broncos got as he really does know and understand the X's and O's on offense. Its tough to argue the results he has produced with the Pats as the O coordinator.

Some of his playcalling can be a bit frustrating as well, I mean he wasn't all that successful during his stay with the Rams either, it's amazing how a QB like Brady (and those guys called Moss, Welker, Gronk, Hernandez, Faulk and the great offensive line weren't too shabby either) and a brilliant HC like Bill can make an average OC look like a offensive guru.

funny....you can use that same example to explain why I think Mike McCoy is overrated.

The same Brady who went three weeks without talking to McDaniels.

Both the Broncos and Rams regressed offensively under his control and were beached whales in the red zone.

In addition to players he also clashed with other coaches. Mike Nolan, Bobby Turner and Rick Dennison all left the staff.

Broncos' Director of Player Personell Matt Russel turns down interview with the Chargers. Hey San Diego, Brian Xanders might be available!

Also, with Pioli's firing, is any of the Belichick branch still employed out there?

So the Ravens it is. Can't say I'm disappointed, the Colts are and were the scarier team

I would have rather had the Colts, but I'm just happy that New England has to play Houston, who is probably the only other AFC team with a chance of knocking them off

I think from a storyline perspective I'd rather play the Colts, but other than that, there offense is better and neither defense is scary.

The Baltimore defense is going to get torn apart, too old and too slow. I don't know what the Colts gameplan today was, but they should have done some hurry up.

Such an anti-climactic BCS Title game...Notre Dame is better than this, but Alabama just came out so dominant.
