NHL Execs were actually up most of the morning its a lot quiet now in times square lol.

heres Darren

Darren Dreger ‏@DarrenDreger

NHL execs are mtng this morning and have been for some time. Will invite union in at some pt today. Long day ahead for all

Said last night, a number of differences on main issues need to be resolved, so don't expect a deal today. Inching to that goal = progress

so as you see its nice NHL is up and at it all ready not sure what time the PA will be called back over. The NHL PA did return with a 22 page from the NHL's 300, so that is those are the remaining items left to finish off the deal

this is actually a good thing, that the NHL hasn't called the PA over, that they are working in groups and have started early in the AM today. That means they are looking over the PA 22 page counter and im hoping they are actually working on it.

sounds like the owners will be conceding on these remaning issues. If they didn't like this 22 page report, they would have called it off by now.

No, they are looking at what they don't want to give up on.

the PA isn't going to get all of their stuff given to them

If the ball doesn't get rolling today it won't be good news for those of us still hoping for a season of some sort. A little off topic but if there is a season what quality of hockey do you think we'll be watching? I mean many players are in lesser leagues but many are taking the time off.

I think the fact that they pushed the meeting back is a good sign. Maybe im grasping at straws but I feel like requiring that extra times means they are working hard on getting something done.

EDIT: It's a blog, and don't know how reliable it is. Supposedly Edmonton is flying their young stars up after their AHL game tonight.

Talk are also delayed right now. NHL still internally meeting.

Huh? Sounds hard to believe, I'm pretty sure Hockey Canada made a deal with the Oilers that if in fact the lockout does end, RNH gets to play out the tournament.

Hearing NHL new counter offer it has worked on last 24 hrs is comprehensive; hence the delay this evening putting finishing touches on it

so that means the PA will need time to review this one. I was hoping they would stop playing ping pong with proposals and just iron the remaning stuff out. I still think they are close and a deal is going to be reached, but they keep playing tennis and the proposals are the bouncing ball

NHL basically ironed out an entire CBA last proposal

Probaby did same this time ,, NHL is trying to make this process as fast as possible

If NHLPA agrees with most they can get back to change little things and get CBA voted on and approved as quick as possible

NHLPA has never put forth a comprehensive proposal

the NHL proposal over the weekend was 288 pages, the PA counters with a 22 pages. Fehr was able to hash out the issues he wants ironed out, and was able to due that with 22 pages from NHL's 288.

so the NHL Is going to present a comprehensive proposal tonight, probably around the same. Will Fehr do the same thing he did over the weekend, or as you say this might be good enough to hopefully get a VOTE.
