I love upsets, I'll go with the Czech's in this one. I haven't seen them play yet in this tournament so I'm looking forward to it. A Canada-Czech Semi-Final would be nice to see.

Why do we have so many players out of position? Like Galchenyuk and Miller. Ones a center the other is a wing and their positions are switched.....

Gally plays wing, it is just believed long-term he could be a center and that is how the Canadiens and their fans seem to think he will be used. However, he lines up mostly on the wing still in Sarnia when I have seen him. Miller has been very good defensively lost in all of our frustrations with his offense and touch at times, is the fact he is winning a lot of faceoffs and he is covering his center responsibilities from the other teams blueline on out.

Getting super tired and still have an hour and a half..... Does anybody else have their clock just creeping along right now? Everytime I look I feel like it has been an hour and it is just five minutes.

Yeah I'm starting to struggle. I wanted to go to sleep a few hours ago but when I couldn't.

One thing I started to think about, why the hell did the NHL network get rid of that guy who used to do the color for these games. I think it was Dave Starman? Might not be his name, but he was a 100 times better than Hradek. He gave the impression that he actually had watched these guys before the tournament unlike Hradek.

Agreed, he knew team USA and the international junior scene very well. Hradek on the other hand really doesn't. I like the new play by play guy though.

Steve Mears is really good IMO. Glad to have him in Pittsburgh as long as he doesn't replace Errey or Steigy

He would give a lot of little tidbits from tournaments and European teams that I'd never heard before. He didn't really analyze the on ice game, but then very few guys do, but I always felt like I learned something during a game. Hradek just sounds like an NHL guy shoehorned in to call the game.

EDIT: Looked it up and it is Dave Starman. Looks like he is with CBS now. Small wonder why he was better than Hradek. Check out his twitter description.

I'd love to know how many NCAA, CHL and USA NDTP games Hradek has been watching this year and the last.

I don't know if I'll make it. I played three hockey games today. I've nodded off and had my iPhone slip out of my hand and smack in the face a couple of times while reading these threads. Oh well, that's why PVRs exist.

Lines are the same for Team USA except Grimaldi is the LW now with Trocheck and Biggs - Lucia is the 13th forward.

Sieloff is paired with Trouba due to Ghost's absence.

Guess teh Galchenyuk at center line was a typo.

Galchenyuk moved to center? Grimaldi moved to third line and Lucia dropped.
Saw that on Gally. Wonder if Peters made a typo there or not. Someone already asked him and he's very good at responding.

Corey Pronman has Galchenyuk at wing.

I'm still here. 3 hockey games and six beer makes me sleepy though. It's 1am where I am. This tournament is wreaking havoc on my sleep pattern. I applaud all those Euros who post here and stay up to watch these games when Canada is the host. My team isn't even playing, but I love watching WJC hockey.

Almost game time. 2 AM here. However... I work at 8 AM.

Damn this vacation for ruining my sleep pattern!

Waking up 3 hours before I need to, before heading off to work.

If those lines are correct and Galchenyuk is playing centre, color me as shocked. Wow.
