4am start, puck drops roughly around 4:05-4:10.

I have to say, Sarnia without Galchenyuk and Murphy would have been one of the last teams that I thought would break it.
What a beauty. Is he draft eligible this year or next? When do you think he'll go?

It's weird that the Czechs aren't good at the WJCs. I wonder if they're all late bloomers. Hopefully Pribyl's one.

Galchenyuk looks a lot faster today.

2014, I think he's probably a mid-first.

Right now he's my sixth ranked OHL player. Behind Ekblad, McKeown, Ritchie, Dal Colle, and Ho-Sang in that order. What a great draft that looks like for the OHL.

Boy when he gets going fast he's like a freight train that can move on a dime. Made some nice dekes but the Czech defender didn't give him the free pass. But Gally stuck with it using the body to try and retain the puck. Quiet first shift, pretty good 2nd one.

Again though, when Barber is turning the puck over at the blue line - like he did twice on the first shift - there's not much Gally can do in terms of offense. I liked his back drop pass to the defender on the break-out though.

He's looking much more confident today, then he did against Slovakia.

Do you know how fans watching the game can generally see the ice better than most players. Well Galchenyuk doesn't have that problem...at all. What a passer.

Good shift from Gally's line but of course he goes back off as quickly as he came on cause genius Housley wants him on the 2nd unit of the PP. Has he even watched video of Gally's one timer for the Sting PP?

Short 5 on 3 for USA. Gally had just come out but once the 2nd Czech penalty was called, Housley takes him off USA score anyway. Gaudreau makes it 1-0

Loved him at the U-17 so far. Pretty complete player, with good work ethic.

Phil must hate them Russians and feels Galchenyuk is really a Russian guy who happens to be born in the US. Or is the explanation less sinister than that?

Barber great chances. Gally sets up a Seth Jones one time that got stopped. Only his 3rd full shift of the game there really. He got one interrupted by a PP and another by a 5 on 3.

Yikes, not a whole lot of ice time for Gally in the 1st.

5 shifts - 3:44 TOI
ES - 2:42
PP - 1:02.

/$!"/$%! I hate USA, last 20 seconde of the period (4 on 4) and who Housley
put on the ice, Kuraly and Barber

If they continue to play Gally like that, i will start to hope USA lose, i cant stand anymore.

I don't see what the "first line" has done to earn/keep their amount of ice time

First time I witness Galchenyuk lose a puck battle to someone. Jaskin is a beast physically.

Gaudreau did score. Housley likely thinks that justifies the way he gives his lines their ice time.

Poor Gally! You must choose to represent Russia. Bad choice man! What a poor way to use him. I never saw a coach using his top player 3 minutes in a period
