I've watched every single Switzerland game. They are my second favourite EVERY year. He's not good. He'll make a good save from time to time and his positioning is actually very good - but he still lets the pucks in.

I haven't seen too many great saves this game. Most of Russia's best chance have went wide.

Well, to be fair, it was also a horrific rebound by Vasilevski.

not the Latvia game, unless you're in Russia, there was no stream for that one

Swiss tied it

This is probably the strongest team the Swiss have had - all around. If they had a Nino and a Conz .. the Swiss might actually have been favourites to medal.
Swiss keep getting better every year. This is the best developing hockey program in the world, by a large large margin. In future years they will be even better...but I get your point

No doubt that first one was really weak, and that he not a great goalie...just something the Swiss will have to play through.

Well - done you managed to insult Canadians and Russians. But when you do it, it's what? Constructive criticism?

I'm only talking about his game play in this game! He made an incredible pad save and a good glove save in the first.

Yakupov reminds me of Kovalchuk and Ovechkin when they were young. Trying to do too much himself and gets frustrated when its not working. Anyhow just keeps pushing it.. That said its not necessarily a very bad thing for Oiler fans, both Kovy and Ovy are superstars. But he can be frustrating to watch playing for Russia.

Woot go Switzerland!

I'm not sure if it's an insult, but the Swiss remind me of a Mini-Canada. They play such a beautiful and smart style of hockey. The work their butts off and always keep themselves in games.

It's too bad they don't have the killer instinct this tournament. I'm hoping they get their shining moment and can figure something out that they couldn't do vs Czech, Sweden, and Finland.

Nice poke by the goalie. Risky, but it worked. Good.

I know both Russian goalies are good, but why do they insist on alternating?

Makes sense to me.. Nothing against the Swiss, they're a good team and all, but they're easier for Sweden to beat than Russia is.
