If the CBA is signed in the next little while and we have a season to salvage, do you think there will be trades almost as soon as it is announced? Have GM's been working behind the scenes while the negotiations have been going on?
You'd think some of the GM's have been talking. I don't think there will be a "flurry" of trades when this crap ends, but I do think there will be a few, maybe even a couple big names too.
Do you expect any quickie trades to happen before the beginning of the shortened season? Or will trades happen more after the season starts for awhile.
I'm sure GMs have been talking. Luongo, some minor trades to tweak their lineups. It will also depend on the CBA and the salary cap. Maybe a team want to get a jump on what may be a significant lowering of the cap. Future UFAs may be dealt earlier than the trade deadline. Your guess is as good as mine at this point, but I hope there is at least a shorten season, I MISS HOCKEY
I think we will see a couple deals get done before the season starts. Luongo is one I expect to end before the season begins and I think there will be others
Option 2. You'll see a couple small deals but nothing major until at least the trade deadline.

Exhibit A as to how hockey doesn't matter on ESPN:
Last night an ESPN program was discussing how the Detroit Pistons needed a hero citing the heroes on the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions and no mention of the Detroit Red Wings. All this despite the Red Wings probably being the most succesful team in Detroit right now.
