Cant tell if i want USA to kick Canada's ass into the bronze game or if they should loose so Sweden can deffend their title "Best junior team in the world" by defeating Canada this year

I'd worry about the Russians first if I were you.

As do medals in every tournament since 1999. Canada might not be "the best" this year, and might lose to the US, and might lose in a medal game to either team, as I think the clear top-4 are in the semis. That being said, Canada is never really "the underdog" in this tournament.

Shouldn't change why we root for them or predict that they will win every game. No?

Simply commenting on the narrow minded person saying we never predict against our countries team. No reason to.....as it sits right now.

Nobody picks against their team when their team is elite. We're talking about two elite teams here.

I could see making an honest pick against your team if they're middle of the pack, be it NHL, AHL, international, whatever. I've done it with the Rangers when the Rangers weren't that good.

It's not happening here.

I have watched RUS vs SWISS. A thriller and a character molder. As for both US and Canada... There's rule in math: If it seems easy, you're doing it
wrong.

This will be an interesting re-match; apart from Gibson and Subban, I don't think either team brought their "A Game" in their first meeting.

For the Americans, IMO the key to their game is for their big players to step up. Apart from Trouba, their big guns all had incredibly quiet games the first go-round.

For Canada, we need our supporting cast to step it up. The top line is going to be focused on hard, and we may need to rely on goals from other sources. Boone Jenner had an outstanding first game back against the Russians, so I think he'll be a big key to Canada's chances in this one.

Should be fun, can't wait!

Exactly.

It should be a very exciting game tomorrow. Really looking forward to it.

These early games really separate the casual fan from the real ones. PVR is for suckers.

I think another big key, obviously, will be officiating. Hopefully, with two physical teams going hard, there won't a big (stupid) penalty either way that decides things. Based on what I've seen in tournament so far, seems unlikely we'll get that luxury.

I wouldn't hold my breath; the refs call the games a certain way. Both teams have felt both the benefit and the wrath of these calls, and both should know by now how to stay within the rules.

I think the U.S. is trending up as is Canada. Should be a great game. Might come down to special teams (i.e. the PP).

I think it will be another heart breaker for the US. They lose 3-2 in OT. Canada capitalizes on the PP after a dumb penalty by the US.

It's Canada's to lose every single year. They have the luxury of not even inviting some guys to their camp that would be key players on other teams. Lockout year or not.

No need for a little hissy fit bud (also, congratulations on actually being a member of the team). USA forwards haven't looked good against quality opposition so far, even with their Russian. Doesn't mean they won't against Canada though, especially in a single game. Hopefully this game features more drive from both teams.
