Thats fair. Im not sure anyone is going to even test them or push them to 7 games in any series. Injuries could be the one obstacle that gets in the way, the talent and systems are there.

WOW, they already wrapped it up? Really? That might be the worst comment of 2013 and it is only Jan 2. There is allot of good teams out there. There is also a trade deadline coming up. They haven't won anything yet this year.

So when Barrie won 22 games in a row (which was the 2nd longest streak before now) that all but guaranteed them the OHL Championship? Someone should tell the Spits that... they must have stolen that Championship.

Moral of the story? Don't put your foot in your mouth.

They didn't "steal" it..but a lot would say they "bought" it.

London looks to have the best team but there are teams out there that matchup well with London, you just saw Sarnia go toe to toe with London on back to back nights. I'm still not sold on London's goaltending if they play Kitchener or Owen Sound in a 7 game series I think Binnington and Gibson have a clear edge against Baille or Patterson. If you have 2 goalies you actually have none.

The one thing I would like to be shored up is our goaltending situation. Either pick Jake or Baillie and run with one of them please. And if your not choosing Baillie maybe trade him for an OA that will be a depth D man possibly?

I would suggest last night said a lot. There was certainly pressure on that game, no question about it. Bailie played great the first period, and stunk the rest. Judging on the past month, I'd say Patterson is the starter without question.
With that said, I think Hunter keeps em fresh and keeps the merry go round a spinnin. Closer to playoffs I think it will become a one man show.

Thats the one factor that can equal everything out is great goaltending, even against a lesser talented team. No arguements there. I still think London wins, we shall see.

London is a lot like the 2008-2009 Spits in that sense. Not too many people watching them were convinced Engelage was the goaltender to lead them to a Championship. I'm not 100% sold that our tandem is Championship calibre...but the team in front of them is.

To be honest, I'm not much of a Spit fan anymore (due to location). The other day was the 1st game I've seen all season. I have a #1 Team in the CHL to cheer for instead.

Windsor was a powerhouse. Ellis, Hall, Nemisz, Henrique, Fowler. Name a team this year with those high end players? Thats the difference.

The difference there is that Windsor was the obvious frontrunner from the year before until Barrie made trades and beat up on a weak Eastern Conference. It was easy to see (cheaters or not) that Windsor was in another class above Barrie. Personally, I don't see another team beating the Knights in a 7 game series but I've also seen this franchise blow playoff series when they shouldn't have lost. So I know I won't take anything for granted.

As for the goalies, Patterson in my mind has been the #1 for nearly two months now. Bailie was good in the first period last night but let in 2 weak ones in the second, and one in the third. I like what he's done for this team but there is a reason why he is an OA while Patterson is likely to be drafted this year. I don't see any moves happening with the goalies and I think the Knights as a team are confident enough in both of them and are confident enough in themselves to play a good defensive game unlike last night.

When the WJC is all said and done is Mermis going to be a PP specialist and send Liberati in the stands or do we see a d-man (Raine) moved?

Harrington-Hughes
Zadorov-Maatta
Mermis-Raine

London is getting it done with a collective team effort which should be commended. Only 2 PPG players on the team currently with only a chance at one or two other players on the roster getting to that mark in Horvat and Rupert. We will see if that can hold up in the playoffs where other teams have high end talent.

That is tough, I love what Liberati brings to the table the kid is not scared to skate with the puck. But then you have Raine who brings a solid defensive physical game to the table. If Raine is not dealt he should be suited up most nights but Liberati will be missed for sure. That gives us a solid back end next year though which I was afraid of not being able to have.

Smart move, I wish I could get a job out in Portland and see some good hockey.

I'm thinking that they leave the D alone and keep Raine and next year they likely have Maatta, Zadorov, Mermis, Raine, Liberati, Cenotrame, Di Lorenzo. Then they can make a move next year to shore up the back end if they want to make another run.

When Kitchener tied Sorel's record in 83-84 they had OT in the OHL and the Rangers won once in OT during their streak. There's no asterisk beside Kitchener's streak

Anyone know why Di Lorenzo didn't make a cameo appearance with the Knights similiar to what Centorame has?
