Agree 100%. Shoenmakers is an OA, and this will be his 4th team in 1 year (Missy, sudbury, windsor and Petes). His family is loaded, and he will not waste his time, or ruin his last year in the OHL, going from a playoff team to a basement dweller.

It seems like mgmt just made a trade to stir the stale pot, and motivate fans??

I grew up in Peterborough and I am sad to see the state of a once mighty franchise. Hopefully something will happen but the Murphy trade just made made no sense to me. The Pumple trade and the Watson trade last year did nothing to improve the franchise. Bring back Dick Todd.

Schoenmakers has gone home to to Kitchener. I think he either plays for Kitchener Rangers or goes to school.

He doesnt have a future 1st rd NHL pick relative does he? If so maybe we need an asst coach or GM next year lol

Shoe is a good player if he would have reported. Hopefully the Pete's can recoup something or this deal looks awful for them. Devlin is one of the more mistake prone defensemen I have ever seen play for Windsor despite his various hockey tools, and Murphy just scored the game winner in his debut with the Spitfires and looked fantastic all game long making sweet plays. You guys need a former player with a head on his shoulders like Pronger to buy the team and turn it around, it's looking pretty grim.

Replacing Shoe

Tough that Shoe won't report to God's country but at his age I guess I can't blame him. He'd have been a good addition for the Pete's. You can bet Spott in Kitchener wants to add him as an O/A (they have an opening). He'll probably try to pawn off Czinder on you guys. Read my lips don't accept CZINDER unless they throw in a 2nd rounder.

The petes and the 67's have got to be the slowest at posting game highlights. Most other teams have them up within an hour for their fans that could not make the game. Come on and get with the times.

Funny that they are two of the worst three teams in the league. Mark my words " Erie who seems to be in the right decade in terms of the off ice stuff like posting game highlights in a reasonable amount of time and all things social media will turn their ship around quicker then the greybeard petes and 67's. I mean this is the way of the world so maybe you should get with it.

Although the league has cut down on fighting, I believe the Petes should call up Cody Thompson and give the kid a second chance. What do they have to lose.

According to PetesInsider on Twitter:

Koekkoek, Quine and Ritchie are players who have apparently requested a trade. Coach Pelino neither confirmed nor denied the rumours. I feel for Mr.Cornel.

Don't quote me on this but I hear the Petes may have called up Cody Thompson to begin the second half with the team

There is confusion on the petes forum board as to whether Schoenmakers counts as a A card and to my knowledge he does not as he informed the ptes he was not reporting thus i doubt he was registered with the league
An example I can give was that when Pavelka was dealt to Windsor from Niagara he practiced with the team for a week before they carded him
When u get a player thru a trade a team does not automatically card him if they wish not to,such as in case of Pavelka, had they liked what they saw in practice, they would have released him and no A card would have counted
Of course a player has to be signed so he can play

Has some good offensive abilities but is one of the worst defensive forwards I can recall seeing. Incredibly lazy unless he has a scoring chance. Seems to have a bad attitude. He could probably be very effective with some good coaching and a change of scenery, but he's pretty one dimensional.

Petes are so close to a playoff spot, wonder if they can battle it out. Strong second half, this is what many were expecting from the start of the gate but unfortunately it didn't happen that way.

Strome to the Petes would be a nice pick up. But with a high selection, they have solid options.
