If this one would gonna happen TBL would trade up to get Jones for sure, they don't need another center they have two starcenter locked for the next 5 years or something like that. If SJS don't want to trade, TBL would trade down and take Drouin as their new Martin St.Louis

Not a chance. MacKinnon might take faceoffs on that line (Like Ott did when he was on Benn's line) because that's his one weakenss at centre.

This is exactly what I hope happens, even if we somehow score a higher pick. He could probably use another year in the Q, but Drouin's my favourite guy this year. However, Chevy seems to like guys who are a little bigger than his 5'11" 175...

Remember he's only 17. Plenty of time to add muscle on even if he doesn't grow another inch.

I don't doubt he can get bigger, but people already rave about how built the kids lower body is. He isn't lacking in the strength department and looking at his frame I don't know how much bigger he is going to get. Although 5'11" and say 185 lbs should be fine. Some guys have frame you can see putting on a lot more weight, I don't know that Drouin strikes me that way when I watch him, I am sure his upper body will get a little bigger of course.

Do they? I'm not saying you're wrong, I just haven't heard that myself. I don't have as much info on him as I'd like. The knocks I'd heard on him had been that his skating wasn't explosive enough (takes a long time to get to full speed), which to me is a non-problem. That's quad strength, and is one of the most straightforward things to improve in off-season training. The other main thing I've heard as being a potential negative was that he tends to avoid taking a hit if he can. Some people question his willingness to take a hit. Personally, I'm not worried about this either.

What I love about him is his obviously elite-level hockey sense. His eyes and his hands are weapons most teams don't have, and I'd love to see the plays he could make with guys like Kane, Wheeler, Scheifele or Burmi.

To add to your points, I have seen a bit of physicality from him in this tourney and it is similar to how The Nuge does it. Timing and angles - The Nuge likes to throw checks along the board slightly ahead of the opposing player's body, usually just getting a piece of the shoulder but completely separating the opponent from the puck.

I absolutely think if the Jets are picking 6 and Drouin is on the board they'd be foolish to pass him over. I think he has the most skill of any guy in this draft. Jets already have size and grit in their lineup.

I think SJS would be willing to trade with TBL and pick up Drouin/Lindholm and then some other asset.

In the scenario that they got such a high pick, they might even trade down a little further and take Monahan since he could step in as their #3C immediately, although I prefer both Drouin and Lindholm.

If Dallas gets a top 2 pick, we're taking Jones no matter what.

I used the OP's draft order

1. COL- Nathan MacKinnon
2. TOR- Jonathon Drouin (just saw the tsn vid where burke talks about him)
3. ANA- Seth Jones
4. CGY- Aleksandr Barkov Jr
5. PHI- Elias Lindholm
6. CBJ- Sean Monahan
7. OTT- Hunter Shinkaruk
8. NYI- Ryan Pulock
9. VAN- Rasmus Ristolainen
10. PIT- Valeri Nichuskin
11. WSH- Adam Erne
12. WPG-Andre Burakowsky
13. CBJ (NYR)- Max Domi
14. CAR- Nikita Zadorov
15. FLA- Curtis Lazar
16. BOS- Alexander Wennberg
17. STL- Anthony Duclair
18. TBL- Josh Morrissey
19. PHX- Anthony Mantha
20. SJS- Darnell Nurse
21. NJD- Jacob de la Rose
22. MIN- Jason Dickinson
23. DET- Mirco Muller
24. DAL- Robert Hagg
25. NSH- Keaton Thompson
26. BUF- Artturi Lehkonen
27. EDM- Ryan Kujawinski
28. CHI- Fredrik Gauthier
29. CBJ (LAK)- Zach Fucale
30. MTL- William Carrier

CLB picks up Monahan, Domi and Fucale to add to Ryan Murray and Boone Jenner. Franchise changing draft for them.

Burke drafts Drouin and announces him as the best player in the draft.

Edmonton gets their second line center in Kujawinski. Many argue it should have been Compher or Gauthier.

Maybe Burkie trades the 2nd overall pick and Kadri for Subban and the 30th pick.

Montreal drafts Jones in that case.

lol

exciting draft for CLB no doubt! 3 1st round picks, even if they end up with horrible horrible luck they will still be quite alright, probably wont happen that way either

1. COL-
2. TOR-
3. ANA-
If your Toronto and have all those Dmen. The last 3 high picks were Percy, Reilly and Finn. Do u go with Seth Jones or Jon Drouin? Id lean toward Drouin based on team need, but its tough to pass on Seth Jones. This is assuming Nate Mackinnon goes #1.
