The proper Finnish pronunciation is not "Lood-Man".

It's Lüd-man, with an "ü" sound.

That sound does not exist in English (to my knowledge). No English letter will do. It's equivalent to the French "u".

Lid-man was reasonably close, going to Lood-man instead is just stupid. Even more so in French, btw, because French does have the "ü" sound.
