Value is likely there, but I don't want Horcoff to be our 2nd line center, I'd rather hang onto Gagner until we get a replacement.

Over-payment from Chicago. Take out McNeil/Hayes.

Without McNeil/Hayes there is no reason for the Oilers to do this.

Considering that Gagner is worth a second, it's a hellava over payment for Jones dont ya think.

Pretty sure Hjall for Gags was considered fair value a bit ago, so take out McNeil/Hayes and I'd say it's fair, but even though EDM would love to have their Captain Horcoff as their 2nd line center, it can't go through due to that.

I can see the reasoning behind the deal and the value might be close, but unless Mcneil is ready to go when the season starts I'd rather have not have Horcoff center Yakupov.

No thanks. Chicago could get a better 2nd line centre for that package, minus Bickell.

No interest in the most overrated Oilers player on HF. Why give up anything, let alone a huge overpayment for a "center" like Gagner

I would never trade Jones he is too good of a penalty killer.

The pieces aren't there to justify Edmonton gutting their depth at center.

Value isn't bad, but it doesn't make a lot of sense for the Oilers

Not a bad proposal but it definitely makes the hawks a better team in the immediate future. I feel the Oilers have to move past these trades for the future.

I have no interest at all in the deal.

The Blackhawks would be more solidified with a second line center, no knock to Bolland, he plays a great defensive game and is great at shutting down the Sedin sisters, etc. when needed/injuries. I believe Ryan Jones would be a good role model for Chicago's young forwards as well and I'm excited for him on our team for some time.

Top 3 lines for the Blackhawks after that trade??

Sharp-Toews-Kane
Saad-Gagner-Hossa
Jones-Bolland-Stalberg/Frolik

Would be interesting if they tried Gagner and Kane together again. And Toews and Hossa would be one of the better 2way combos in the league.

Bryan Bickell would make Edmonton become the slowest team in the league, no deal!

plus I enjoy witnessing Gagner's eight point games.

The Gagner-Kane connection would let the Blackhawks run with two number one lines. That makes me excited for the Gagner-Yakupov duo, that will be lethal.

I'd rather just go along with "no trade" at all TBH.

Sam Gagner is a good playmaker and that's what Eberle and Yakpov need.

I would do this if I were the Oilers if we somehow ended up drafting Monahan / Barkov / MacKinnon. Obviously the trade would have to be done at the draft. Even if Chicago took out the 2nd I would probably still do it from an Edmonton standpoint assuming above.

OMG. I honestly can't imagine Edmonton getting another top 5 pick. Heck if we did... I'd honestly go crazy.

If we drafted Jones, MacKinnon or Barkov... I would be very confused... yet excited.

We could give Hemsky and Gagner away for free!

Want nothing to do with N.Hjarlmasson, would most likely be the 7th D with the Oilers behind Smid, N.Schultz, Sutton and Peckham. Peckham is not a better D, but he supplies the grit the Oilers need, which N.Hjarlmasson lacks. Besides Peckham is much better at the PK.
Would trade Jones + Gagner for Mark McNeil + Jimmy Hayes + 2012 3rd. Would give the Oilers that big 3rd/4th line RW with Hayes and a possible big 2nd line C they need with McNeil.
