Nichushkin is slowly growing on me. I've always liked his skill level, but felt that he lacked hockey sense and playmaking ability.

Everyone is wowed by how fast he can skate and how hard he brings the puck to the net, but I've been more impressed (or surprised) by his positioning in the offensive zone and his creativity. He's made some really good passes, one specifically against Canada.

Valeri Nichushkin reminds me alot of Nikita Aleexev a few years ago.

What are you saying? Nichushkin vs these? Yes ahead of all these. Gauthier is not a 1st for me.

Patches is bigger and a better skater, but Erne could be a similar type LW in terms of production, IMO.

Erne is more physical than him though. So no, I wouldn't say they are similar.

Erne reminds me of Scott Hartnell, remains to be seen if he has the same fighting capabilities. Not the biggest body, but he plays a tough game and has pretty good hands, finishing ability and vision.

What are your thoughts on Nichuskin's hockey sense guys?

That's the only thing that worries me with him.

From what I heard and saw, he dominates only when he wants to. Most of the game he disappears and once a while he does one of this Evgeni Malkin like rushes and then disappears for the whole game. My closes comparison would be Nikita Aleexev. Great speed, great hands but no consistency.

He reminds me of AK46. But I have not seen enough of him to get a handle of how good or bad his hockey sense is.

Depending on the team drafting 1st overall, I would be really surprised if he isn't selected #1

There's a Brian Burke video interview on TSN.ca where he is just drooling all over Drouin. Sickening feeling thinking of Drouin in a Leaf jersey.

Yeah and Brian Burke is a guy that shows his hand, unless he already has it in mind his team will finish bottom three.

Burke also pointed out that his brother and father are bigger than him, so he could grow a few inches, would be great, but at his talent level it doesnt matter much.

There are better ways to tell how tall someone will grow, e.g. shoe size, or they could take an x-ray at the combine.

Never thought that it would bother me again after the Habs missed on Gilbert Perrault and got Guy Lafleur the next year. But missing Huberdeau and now having Drouin up front and center(LW)I'm starting to get an ugly feeling and I hope that the Habs draft the next one in Drouin.

With the depth in this draft and the Habs having at least 3-4 yrs.for the defence prospects to make the NHL,it may be a good idea to look at Russians already in the KHL. Players such as Nicushkin,Buchnevich,Slepyshev,Yakimov,Osnovin and Dano all available and would be NHL primed without any development costs. In reality that would preclude the Habs for another generation of SCC's,unless they see one or two that want to excel in the best league against the best players.Buchnevich and Osnovin being the best choices IMO.If the opportunity to draft one of Hagg or Bowey is there in the 2nd round either could be as good a pick as Thrower was last year, both of them are RD's and PMD's.

I want the Habs to pick 1st this season so badly, leaving the big decision to what may be the best management team in the NHL within three to four years.Seth Jones just looks so dominating and confident,I can see him as the leader for the Habs defence corps,Galchenyuk the leader on the offence in 3-4 yrs. also those two ooze leadership IMO.Drouin is impressive and will be a leader also, another player I'd love to have playing alongside Gally and Collberg.

The short: bone age can be evaluated with x rays, and we have growth plates that open and finally close when we are mature.

And again....it is incredibly funny to read that we don't need another d-man like Seth Jones. My god....Or another "small" forward like Drouin....Are people for real?

You'd think finishing 3rd last would make me people think.

Any of the top 10 I'd be content with.
