Such a bummer he couldn't play... Would have certainly given more options to Spott...

He definitely would of helped.

Couple of thoughts:

- When will Hockey Canada stop bringing so called energy guys like Camara that are totally useless and take bad penalties?

- I like Subban's athletic ability but his positioning still needs work. Tough game for the kid.

- Seth Jones is making a case for #1 selection. McKinnon might slide behind Drouin.

- This still remains a 19 year old tournament. As the tournament progresses, the age does make a difference.

in every wjc i have ever seen there is always a team that has an off game at the worst time. USA came and played their game, Canada came and right from the start they were OFF. It happens, this time it happens to Canada. I did not see Canada's top game vs USA top game. It would have been a lot worse if Canada had been 100% and the USA beat Canada this bad.

Having a fast skating team with big bodies on defence and some physical forwards with speed as well, really worked on a tired Canadian team. The Habs need to pay attention to these games the makeup of the winning teams Gold/Silver will spill over into the NHL in a few years or less.If I'm Bergevin speed, size and character should be the target after the 1st round and if the Habs pick 10-15 Nicushkin,Lazar,Mantha,Nurse and Erne are the types of players,I would be looking at drafting. The Habs need to draft some big offensive players with their 1st & 2nd round picks to really be able to compete with the "Elite"teams in the NHL.Now that the Habs have some of the top percentile of judging hockey talent and their upside, getting these players with 5 picks in the Top 90 should finally happen.Tyler Hill is another to add to the list.

Let's hope that Collberg shines now. I hope for better games on ES as far as he's concerned though like I keep saying...tough year for him to get some momentum back.

Accuse me of making excuses but IMHO, this often has to do with the stupid format with byes. One team, USA in this particular case, built momentum and confidence by trouncing another team to reach the semi-final. Their now well oiled engine is running on all cylinders. Meanwhile, you have Canada with the bye having to cold start their engine in an elimination game facing an always tough opponent. Russia with a spectacular comeback win is probably super pumped and confident as well, with momentum on their side. It's more likely now that they'll beat Sweden.

They should use the same format as the ATP World Tour Finals in tennis, no byes. Have the team with best record play the qualifying team with worst record.

There won't be any byes next year apparently.

Lindholm scores!

What's up with the E being after Lindholm on that jersey?

'Cause Hampus was supposed to be there as well so I guess they put the initial after the name instead of before the name.

Sweden just dominating.

Leroux on RDS saying that Timmins mentioned to him that Collberg wasn't at 100%.

Nearly an assist for Collberg after his shot almost created a rebound goal.

Sweden is so fun to watch, even without 4 key pieces. Ronnberg is a heck of a coach.

I usually refrain myself from being too excited about a player during a tournament like that.....but seeing him play today...geez, it's hard to not wish he'd be in our system. We need more swedes anyway...

Not only Lindholm is highly skilled but his compete level is amazing.

Filip Forberg is having one heck of a game himself !

After years of watching the Habs dump and chase, it's brilliant to see a team like the Swedes control the puck with such skill. Their game is really a thing of beauty.

Glad you guys like my first overall. Join the club. The nationality alone(seeing what happened last year) will displace him from first overall, but I think he's the best of the bunch.

He has all the "putting it together" attributes Mckinnon and Drouin will have to grow into, he's playing the right position and he's a lot more mature than Jones.
