No question what we're getting with Collberg. Pure sniper. PP and SO specialist. Reminds me of Cammalleri... without the attitude problems hopefully.

Cammalleri doesn't have an attitude problem. He said something and the media made a huge deal out of a non-story.

You can't play that game, otherwise I can say Switzerland had no business really having a shot against Russia to begin with.
A game isn't played in 20min, shall we go back to the way Canada lost in dramatic fashion a few years ago?? Or just this morning, no reason for the States to have beaten Canada so easily, but let's not take anything away from them.

Russia came back, in both games, they battled hard, give them credit.

Sweden still won, as I expected, but it was a great game.

I disagree. He was wonderful while he was lobbying to be captain but then his attitude was terrible after Gionta got the C. That was before he said what he said.

There was lots of reports of him being a me-first player who sulked after being passed over for the C. He also didn't bother showing up many nights.

It's hard to cheer for USA but Collberg already has a gold.

His few last games with the habs were 'Gomez'esque'

He was floating, and scared.

How many purely offensive players look dangerous each and every night? Cammalleri is a sniper, and like Ryder was before him, and others will be after him, when he's not putting the puck in the net, he doesn't look very good out there. That doesn't mean he didn't try, it just means things didn't go his way.

I wasn't upset that he was traded, but that had more to do with his salary and I didn't mind the return the Habs got for him (and I still don't mind it).

Anyway, this is a thread about the World Juniors, let's get back to that, lol

A lot of people with good sources said he was making waves in the room and with mangement. It's not a media fabrication.

Wow....still in shock, what a goal by Collberg. A goal you can't see is a heck of a goal. Had even a tough time seeing it on replay. And it has nothing to do with that goal, but it's probaby the best ES game I've seen Collberg play in this tournament. And I saw all but one game of Sweden.

Can't wait to see Kristo, Collberg and Gally in the lineup.

Would be fantastic to see Gally center Hudon and Collberg in the future. Collberg can't be expected to battle for the puck but would be a great complement to Gally's style.

Agreed. But again, you can see that he's not 100%. He's faster than that normally.

Oh and I have a tough time choosing which team to cheer for. Yet, while some have said that Collberg has already his medal, amongst our 2 prospects, he's the one who needs more of a boost to deal with a up and down season in Sweden. So a goal might be what the doctor orders. But wouldn't midn seeing Gally with it as well.

As far as merit is concerned, well the US have gained momentum when it counted the most. And I didn't like Sweden after their 2nd goal, so I'd say US deserve it most.

I definitely think the injury Timmins talked about is a leg injury too.

Nice tweet by the Habs:

Canadiens Montréal ‏@CanadiensMTL
Thanks to a sweet @collberg49 shootout goal, Sweden will face @AGally94 and Team USA for gold on Sat!

Replayed several times on my dvr and the shot was so hard the puck got tangled in the net.

I'd prefer Gally wins and has a big game to quiet down the critics about how he has played in this year's WJC

I had to slow down playback to 1/15th speed to see Collberg's goal. It's insane he was able to lift the puck straight up with no visible space between his stick and the goalie's right leg. Crazy.

He's not at ease when he skates, so could be.

I was drooling at the thought of a potential all-USA line on the Habs maybe 2 years from now

Pacioretty-Galchenyuk-Kristo

If Timmins can nab a couple of solid prospects this year to add along with Collberg at forward, the Habs future might look very bring in the medium term

The only critics I hear are from a few fans in this board. In the media, from what I've heard, they're just wondering why he isn't used as much

Anyway, it's working out for Housley and I'd love for Galchenyuk to win gold and continue domminating the CHL. Now that would be a great comeback year for him.

Not really... Real flight risks are borderline skilled NHLers. He's going to be a good one.

I'm very happy with Galchenyuk instead don't get me wrong but Grigorenko is one of the better players of this draft.

Seriously? Go at the main board during the US game and in a thread about the most dissapointing players....

Galchenyuk WAS, STILL IS, AND WILL BE the player to go for us. But Grigorenko should have NEVER be past the 7th pick and I'm exagerating. Reinhart at 4, 8 freakin spots before him....are you guys, the professionnals, SERIOUS??? Derick Pouliot??? Seriously??? Koekkoek? I'm sorry? I mean, I guess you could have had your reasons to go with Yakupov and Gally and maybe even Rielly, and I will say Trouba. Then comes Murray where seriously could have gone after. And the rest. So there is a strong possibility that Grigo could have been slotted for the 5th place. I believe Lindholm will be great but it was still out of left field at the time a little, at least that soon. Dumba? Well, I guess there was a case to go with him as well. Reason why I slot Grigo at the very freakin worst at 7. Just like Forsberg should have not went 11.
