Rielly is his team, so his lower stats are not at all comparable,

my biggest worry as i said is his decision making, he needs to develop that aspect of his game or he is not going to live up to that pick
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not judge Dumba this year on his stats in Red Deer, his offensive production is more impressive than most realize. The Rebels lack any explosion outside of our draft pick and I bet you anything that if Dumba was traded to a team that had stronger forwards, you wouldn't be nearly as worried as you seem right now... Him not making WJC is a bummer but not shocking. He was looking like the odd man out and played like a kid who still needs to "season" and round out his game to play on the highest level... I am more than okay with the choice on draft day, and today... Dumba will be a guy who needs 2 more years to develop, let's give him some time.

RNH loves Dumba and that there is good enough for me

Dumba is still a great prospect. I'm glad he's cutting his defensive teeth now in the W rather than later. I'm hoping when he comes to pros he can be a solid all around D-man with great offensive upside. Not a MAB who can throw a check.

now we have a bigger problem, see we don't like RNH because of the team he plays for so this here is now an issue.

Dumba must go

@Russostrib It's too early to call Dumba over Trouba a mistake, right?

If it wasn't for my job, I would have stayed up to watch the game live.

Luckily I work nights so I can stay up and won't have to wake up early tomorrow. I also got about 14 hours of hangover-induced sleep last night so I'm ready to go.

He's been great, while Lucia has been benched for no apparent reason.

Trouba has probably been the best defenseman in the whole tournament so far.

DVRing it. Living in an area where few of the people I interact with know what it is let alone watch it, is a benefit to me. Now just have to stay away from twitter and FB tomorrow.

I will be. Might be the best game we'll see all year. Can't miss that.

I'll be in a Nyquil coma so I'll just read the PBP in Twitter when I wake up. Stupid time zones.

Seriously, a 3am game? It's in Ufa, right? So they're playing the primetime game at 3pm local time?

Ugh.

Since I work at an ungodly hour in the morning, I've been watching the games. For the US, Gaudreau has been amazing. Ditto on the Gibson kid.

People can talk about how missing out on Trouba was a mistake, passing on Forsberg was THE mistake in my opinion. The over-analysis on his game around draft time was comical, much like what I repeatedly said. He's going to make many teams kick themselves for passing on him for inferior prospects.

Forsberg and Grigorenko should have both gone higher.

Right. But with Grigorenko you just have that Russian factor and whether it's right or wrong, that player is always going to drop further than their talent level says they should. I don't think we'll ever see this regime take a Russian. With Forsberg, there really was no excuse. I think teams plain just missed the boat on him.

Halfway how we feel about those stupid Vancouver games starting at 10pm local

But...3pm local time in Ufa? Who is that for? That's prime time in...Japan? Australia? It's still early afternoon/late morning Europe.
