USA has a Sabres prospect on the team (McCabe). Sweden doesn't. I'm American.

I think the choice is clear. GO USA!

Yeah USA has been really good at the latest U18. Of course they have the advantage at that age with a lot of playing time together as a team, but still.

Anyway...USA should be pretty big favs going into this. It doesnt matter gold or silver, I happy either way. I am pretty sure Sweden can give the americans a good fight.

Even though a lot of the Swedish fans were quite harsh to the Canadian fan base during the SF game, I have some ancestry in Sweden and thus I feel the need to root for them.

USA should be the favorites on paper. But I think Sweden is going to play their best game yet and win with 3-2 in OT. Sweden have a coach and couple of players that know what it takes to win a gold medal and that should be to their advantage.

Please no excuses. They are really annoying, injuries are part of the game. Its not the US' fault their players were able to avoid injury.

Excuses and excuses, it's more a matter-of-fact that sweden have several players out in injuries. Doesn't matter on Saturday, we got what we got.

In order to win this Sweden needs to be better at converting puck possession into goals but keep following their "wheeling" game-plan.

The US needs to stay out of the box and keep playing like they did against Canada. If they do they should come out on top.

All in all, it's been great fun watching Sweden play eventhough I've been quite annoyed by some of our players ineffective style of play. Filip Forsberg, for instance, has sometimes seemed more interesting on creating spectacular moves for the youtube crowd instead of just putting the puck on net.

From a Habs prospect point of view I can't lose. But today's loss is still too bitter to pick a winner here. Good luck to both teams.

That is a beautiful link there.... Oh wait you just made that up, shocking stuff.

I have always hated this logic because you have no idea if it is true or false but people cling to it like some big fact. Maybe we would also all of a sudden be some terrible basketball nation and the NFL wouldn't be nearly as popular. Then what would are excuse be soccer and cricket are running everything but they are two most popular sports so haha world. Celebrate what you're good at and don't make excuses. As a nation the US is pretty good across the board and extremely good in some particular sports.
