Nothing happened. I'm not sure they even had a real meeting.

NHLPA is completing another approval for a decertification vote. Possibly to increase leverage before the 11th hour.

Met earlier about HRR and pensions. Both sides are expected to meet again tomorrow at 1000h with the mediator.

Depends on whose Twitter accounts you follow. Tends to even out to who the **** knows.

Nobody has a clue what's really going on. The few guys left who aren't just throwing crap at the wall are barely commenting.

Black Rose Immortal would've been better suited, as this lockout is taking forever

Kristopher Letang will be in Russia soon. He'll play in the KHL until the lockout is over.

Players still going overseas

hmmm pretty slow day, sounds like this will get done but it will be a complete grind for the next few days.

I was kind of hoping they'd just go all in and get it done by the weekend, but it sounds like they're still being a bit fussy. Whatever, still more than a week til the deadline.

I dont see any reason this doesnt end now, you have a full lockout for a salary cap system sure, not over a 4 million cap difference and a few details on the pension plan.

Wasn't he signed over there before, though? Wheeler and Statsny are playing for HC Redbull Munchen, but went home for a couple of weeks for Christmas.

I bet they don't start talking again with each other until next week. This is hopefully the last blow up, if you would even call it a blow up.

I have to agree with Adrian Dater... This whole DOI business is such a farce. As he put it, it's like hiding behind the linesman in a fight.

I'm not absolving the NHL of any wrong-doing here. But Jesus guys, cut the ****ing crap and just hammer it out.

I dont see another blow up, they will IMO be meeting almost everyday, sometimes every other day to have a breather, but will never stop meeting for longer than a day.

I get it, they've blown up before, but we're at the deadline, they've agreed to almost all major issues(all contract, variance and hrr issues have been agreed upon.) They're a little grumpy because Im sure small details are being changed, but I dont see us hitting january 11th-12th or so without a deal.

Neither do I. However, I also don't think they'll be doing much with the next week besides futzing around with the framework and killing time. The thing is pretty much done; the two sides are just milking it for all it's worth now.

Not worried about Letang, and whoever else going overseas to play. If anything I've heard of a few players coming back recently. Tom Gulitti recently report Marek Zidlicky came back from the Czech to put his daughter in school, and Lundqvist tweeted about going back to New York yesterday.

There's also plenty of stars who haven't left yet. You think a guy like Crosby won't wanna play somewhere if they call the season over here?
