So, getting a new phone tonight.

It's iPhone 5 vs. Galaxy S III vs. Galaxy Note II vs. Droid DNA

Any thoughts on any of those?

Coworker just picked up a galaxy note II and it looks amazing. Even with the 5" screen it looks barely bigger than my gnex.

I got the s3 a couple of months ago and it's the best device I've ever used. Fast, intuitive, awesome. Looks good, feels good, it's fast and the battery lasts forever.

I have the iphone 5, love it, but it's got the be that or the S3. Depends on how apple integrated you are at home IMO.

Ended up getting the S3. The Note, while having an amazing screen, was way too big. I'm not Apple integrated at all at home, and kinda wanted something different after having a iPhone for so long.

Big fan so far. I feel like I was living in the stone age only having 3G. Remarkable difference in speed. Once Verizon finally pushes the GSM patch, it'll be money.

Cool man thats a great one also.

A few of my go to android apps below.

Go SMS Pro for texting
At Bat 12 for baseball
DaTuner Lite if need to tune your acoustic guitar
Full Screen Caller ID Pro
MX Player..great for playing videos in all types of formats
IM+Pro...instant messenger app for multiple types but can be a battery hog so really just a per need usage.

Well the Android keyboard comes with gesture typing, I don't know if GS3 has the most up to date default one, but if you ask me gesture typing is the best.

Heh. Wait til you see the total you'll be paying over the life of your mortgage on the closing documents. It's an eye-opener.

I just did a rough run of my tax return last night for the first time as a home owner. What the hell have I been doing for the past so many years not owning a home and renting? Holy tax return Batman!!

yeah, tax return season is nice for homeowners. I don't know how people rent.

I know it's easier, but sheesh. It's just throwing money away, especially around these parts where rent is absurd.

Meh. If you've got a chunk of cash burning a hole in your pocket, you'll make more money in an index fund than you will ]investing that into a down payment on a primary residence. The decision is even easier when I can make one phone call and have a broken refrigerator or leaky faucet fixed in 24 hours for free and with no effort beyond that phone call.

You know you've made a hell of a series when a cat singing your theme music gets 700,000 hits on youtube.

Good decision. Samsung has done well with their smartphones and frankly Apple is losing it's touch imo.

Yep. Notre Dame played nobody and Alabama wasn't even the best team in their conference (the team that beat them in Tuscaloosa was).

The lecherous rantings of a 70 year old man are the highlight of the "National Championship" game

Always nice to see UND get clobbered. They shouldn't have been in the game to begin with. They got gifts from the officials in both the Pitt & Stanford games
