A few trusty sources saying NHLPA - NHL deal will be announced tomorrow..... #FinalStretch #AboutTime

Says he's a NHLPA agent with octagon hockey.

Could be fake

that still a possibility of a new deal, I heard TSN latest update - there video is up now on tsn.ca

the NHL has come up to 30% on variance which is a huge jump an in favor of PA

the NHL has also agreed to 10 years but want to opt out after 7, PA wants opt after 8 but someone has said PA will agree to 7.

Haven't heard any news reguarding pensions and year 2 cap but PA has gotten something they wanted.

Of course the players are over the next 48 hrs going to give D Fehr another chance at disclaimer if he so chooses to use it, if the whole thing falls apart.

@RenLavoieRDS amazing how French Renaud always gets the scoop 1 min before English Renaud. English Renaud must be so infuriated!

League source says all "changes" to Article 50 were highlighted and flagged and the union has had docs for a week.

Where is the I will attend the same amount of games, buy the same amount of merchandise and love hockey just the same option?

so I guess the CBA meetings are done for the day, my guess the rest of the night will be used for the players to re authorize the disclaimer to Fehr to use if he chooses.

So the PA shill and NHL shill are in direct disagreement.

Veteran member of NHL's BOG tells me Bettman poised to cancel season on Thursday if deal not done or imminent. Story and link soon
https://twitter.com/tpanotchCSN

this I think would be a smoke screen by bettman, but it won't work.

Fehr is more then ready to go to court.

Guys, I'm going to say there will be no NHL season, it will be cancelled, and the battle in court will commence.

For the first time, I hope I'm completely 100% wrong in what I just typed.

why, because I want hockey back. I'm as mad as any fan is and want the deal done now. but I choose to follow it as positive as I can until the deal is done.

Hockey / football in my family is a religion.

They are saying why do you need trust to get a deal done?? Who does business with someone who is sneaky and untrustworthy? The answer is simple, nobody.

the pro owner bias on the main board is off the charts. if you arent drinking the same kool-ade over there then I would stay away.

Bryz isn't really a viable option. As others said, you can hope another goalie gets bought out and try to sign them. But there's so many teams trying to get goalies that it's not really a good time to bet on the market
He hasn't done much in the playoffs since 2010 and he's on the downside of his career. Buy him out!

So the NHL and NHLPA have decided to engage in MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction)?

Somehow we survived the Cold War between the US and the Soviets that almost turned hot over Cuba....yet hockey might not survive the stupidity of the NHL and NHLPA.

Not talking about this thread, more about reporters on twitter who spew ******** like they are optimistic or a deal will be reached soon and nothing ever comes of it.

Any gains made on Wednesday seemingly went by the wayside on Thursday amid rancor between both sides over the league’s attempt to alter the definition of HRR – hockey-related revenue.

Although that was cleared up on Thursday, the union quickly responded by asking its membership for another vote on filing a disclaimer of interest. By noon on Friday, it looked more and more likely there wouldn't be any face-to-face bargaining at all at least until Saturday.
......

Obviously, neither side is feeling warm and fuzzy about the other right now with NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman’s Jan. 11 deadline to get a CBA very much in sight.

So what kind of expectations does the league have going into today’s sessions?

“Low,” deputy commissioner Bill Daly said in an e-mail this morning.
