Thrilling game nevertheless. Quebec played all heart in both games I watched them play. And their best forwards were very dangerous.

RUS scores EN to make it 6-4. RUS-SWE final it is.

What was it today about "staying classy"......nice slash and push at the end of the game by a US player. See...it happens to the best of them....

Russia vs Sweden for Gold.
US vs Québec for Bronze. Not expecting a lot for Québec though, they seemed incredibly exhausted in the 3rd against Sweden today.....

I like Anders Bjork for Team USA. Speedy and good 2-way game.

The Russians were the better team in this game so congrats to them.

Really not too impressed with this '96 NTDP group for the US. Eichel is the only slam dunk on the team while the other interesting guys seem to have issues to one degree or another that don't sit all that well with me. To compound that problem they don't seem to have the overall chemistry you'd expect from a group that's been together for months.

wow, this Russia 96 generation is weaker than the 95 generation that won the tournament last year. Great to see them reach the final, I did not expect this to happen.

Good to see the Swedes make the final too

Definitely well-earned but one thing to consider is that besides Ontario most teams have a weaker 95 group that 96 group. Partly why 2013 draft is supposed to be best in years.

If Quebec loses in the Bronze Medal Game will this be the first time Canada gets shutout at the u17?

Obv crisis for HC, need to force other countries to split their teams too.

Or maybe HC is split up too much, should send three teams only, similar to the CHLs. This would also help down the road in WJCs as it would give the players an opportunity to play together more. They would get to know each other on and off the ice. The other countries send only one team and they stay together longer only having to add and delete a few players here and there. I know not every player on stays on their national teams but I am sure that quite few do.

Yeah gotta say that Team Atlantic is usually just way to shallow every year. However I think it's good to have the other teams players get some ice time. Maybe just put Quebec and Atlantic together.

who did the mighty Ontario loose to?

p.s. Swedes look way better than us in the round-robin game, but we'll see.

This 96-born-class of Sweden looks very impressive to say the least. Could be one of the strongest in years.

Way to early to hit the panic button by HC, just beacuse things didnt go well one year.

Maybe HC should merge the weakest (atlantic or west?) with another and instead try to get another Europan side (like the Swiss?) to participate?
