There's also these. Gotta love sci-fi. GLaDOS voice from Portal in Pacific Rim, how awesome is that?

Oblivion: The Last Samurai meets Prometheus.

Now this looks like a good flick.

A little Heat meets Cop Land?

Also, this and Hansel & Gretel is going to be a silly movie, but I`m still gonna watch it.

Can`t wait to see Jack the Giant Killer (Singer) and Oz the Great and Powerful (Raimi) in 3D.

And of course Snyder`s Man of Steel, Tarantino`s Django Unchained and Fleischer`s Gangster Squad.

Some other 2013 movies people might be interested in, based on a quick glance at the list, but not brought up in this mini trailer fest:

Warm Bodies(If you have a zombie obsessed girlfriend or are zombie obsessed)

GI Joe(probably not good)

Iron Man 3

Star Trek 2

The Great Gatsby

Fast and Furious 6

Hangover 3

Kick Ass 2

Despicable Me 2

Grown Ups 2(ugh)

The Wolverine

Red 2

Riddick

Enders Game

Thor

Hunger Games

Bad Santa 2

Hobbit 2

Anchorman 2

-------------------------------

Lots of chances for good and big movies, and then there will be the surprise good movies too.

Geez. There are probably 9-10 movies on that list that I'll probably end up seeing if I can make it happen. More than I was anticipating.

My friend and I did this the other night, we were surprised how many movies we wanted to see or could be convinced into seeing if people really enjoy them.

Eh only about half of those I would see, only a few I would go to the movies rather than wait for it to hit on demand or what not. Anchorman 2, The Wolverine, and The Great Gatsby are the only ones I'd really want to see in theaters. Really psyched for Zero Dark Thirty though.

I remember when I read Enders Game. Forgot what it was about besides a little punk who beasted against everyone.

2013 does seem like a good year for movies. You never now though, many could disappoint.

Saw Argo the other day. Very good movie but was slightly disappointed for some reason, maybe my expectations were to high, will see it again however. Really looking forward to Django as well (Feb premiere date in Sweden I think), seems like it has gotten great reviews and acclaim so far.

Star Trek will hopefully be awsome too, really enjoyed the first one.

I totally forgot about it, yeah, Star Trek has to be on that list too.

I used to watch every episode of Star Trek back when I was a kid (don`t remember much anymore though), but I didn`t like the movie.

And seriously, what the ****. We have a mid January release date here in Slovakia. That`s messed up. I want to see it already too.

Same here. I can`t be objective when it comes to Tarantino. And now he has Jamie Foxx.

Even Dale Gribble himself was a hilarious character. My friend smokes and drinks heavily, and he can definitely be persuaded by a silly conspiracy theory, so we call him Rusty Shackleford after Dale's alter ego.

Think it was a friend of mine while living in Dubai who got me hooked on Star Trek when I was younger, same as you though, most of it's gone. Don't particularly like the lead actor in the Star Trek movie but thought Abrams did a decent job.

Actually it's 18th of January here in Sweden (most likely same in Slovakia), knew it was either Jan or Feb. Glad it's not too far off.

Tarantino rocks. Love his work, did really well with IB so I have high hopes for Django.

My guess?

The director. The last movie was barely watchable.

He did, but I didn`t particularly like the cast (or the setting in certain scenes). Pine, Saldana or Bana. Loved Zachary Quinto though.

It`s 17th of Jan in here.

Just kidding.

Seriously though, I love Nolan, Scorsese, Fincher, Coens, Singer, Greengrass, Scott, Reitman and few more, but Tarantino (and Rodriguez haha) has always had a special place in that hierarchy.

You may have a point with the cast. For the most part I thought Saldana was OK, the others not so much. Quinto was the obvious standout but he's usually very good at what he does. Great in AHS series too.

Eh, Slovakia ahead of Sweden? BOOOO.

I'd have a hard time compiling a list of favourite directors. Those names aren't too shabby. Tarantino is one of a kind though. Nolan is up there as well, made too many great movies not to be.

The scary part is that's just my initial reaction from reading the list/titles. There are some on the list I probably haven't heard of as I haven't watched any trailers/looked ahead at all/etc. Good shot I will add a few in during the course of the year when I see trailers or hear about them. Also a good shot I don't get to all 9-10 I assumed from that list alone, so its likely to balance out. But still. That's crazy that I can say I'm interested enough in that many already.

At some point I think they purposely make [bad] sequels just to cash a paycheck and hope it will drive sales/rentals of the original in preparation to see the sequel knowing full well the follow on will suck so bad it will even partially ruin the original.
