I'll give it a shot with the NW.

Vancouver Gets: P-A Parenteau, Matt Stajan (Gives: Jason Garrison, 2013 2nd)
- Nucks get a needed top 6 forward & center who has struggled but could fill the 3rd line spot nicely.

Calgary Gets: Paul Stastny (Gives: Jay Bouwmesster, Matt Stajan)
- They get the help down the middle they desperately need

Edmonton Gets: Nicklas Backstrom, Jason Garrison (Gives: Ryan Whitney, Sam Gagner, Magnus Paajarvi)
- Alot of help in goal, and Garrison replaces Whitney and brings more stability to the defensive core

Colorado Gets: Ryan Whitney, Sam Gagner, Magnus Paajarvi (Gives: Paul Stastny, P-A Parenteau)
- Adds to there defense, Gagner replaces a spot in the top 9 left by Stastny, and they add a young forward with upside in Paajarvi who can also fill Parenteau spot.

Minnesota Gets: Jay Bouwmesster, Van 2013 2nd (Gives: Nicklas Backstrom)
- There defense is pretty weak after Suter, Gilbert and Spurgeon, then they add a 2nd in a deep draft class

No thanks from a Van perspective, and Calgary gets away nicely with only giving up an aging Tanguay and unproven offensive center in Backlund for Granlund.

The rest isn't bad.

This could be one of the best, although I'm a Ballard fan so I would probably rather keep Ballard than get Cullen.

That's pretty good, value lines up nicely

Strome for Larsson is brutal for NJ. Everything in the deal seems a step above Strome, maybe add something else going to NJ or change it from Strome to a young winger like Grabner or Okposo, even then I would want a tad more for Larsson if I was NJ.

Other than that not bad.

Ehrhoff for Kreji is the only deal in here that involves buffalo in which they don't give up WAY more then they get except for the one that appears that buffalo doesn't get anything and the one that buffalo trades away leino....

From an outsider's perspective this actually looks relatively fair.

It's a bit sad that you'd actually think that the Avs would be happy to give up Ryan O'Reilly + McGinn for Bouwmeester. [Hope that comes with a pants-down spanking!!?!] I wouldn't come close to trading RoR 1-for-1 for Bouwmeester and somehow we add McGinn and it's all good???

Terrible for the Avs. We give up Stastny and Parenteau and receive Ryan Whitney who is more injured than he is healthy, Gagner - a player I have ZERO interest in, who Oiler fans keep peddling to other teams and Paajarvi who still has potential but may be more suited to a 3rd line role when it's all said and done.

Where do I sign this franchise crippling deal?!

Please note - the exercise is to make a FAIR deal for 5 teams, which some people actually gave it an honest shot and were able to do. The exercise is NOT to screw over several teams while making your team better. lol

Outstanding proposal. I have a much better assessment on Strome in the past year since he's been working out with Tavares, Moulson and Matt Martin in the offseason. I think that he'll be a great offensive talent with some added strength.

trading loui because we have jagr would be like trading malcolm subban and tuukka rask, because you have tim thomas.
Well, maybe just Tuukka Rask. And if Boston had a glaring need in their lineup, and Thomas were playing, they just might do that. Yandle is a young offensive number 1 defenseman, I think you are not appreciating the value he brings to a team here.

Again, I'm not saying it's perfect, but Dallas' forward group is far better than their defense now, and likely will be for the forseeable future. I simply tried taking from each team's position of strength and used it to fill an area of weakness.

Ottawa and Boston win. Buffalo is a win for cap reasons. TO is neutral. Habs take it in the shorts.

If New Jersey preferred Strome to Larsson, they would have drafted Strome instead of Larsson.

unless the pick is Toronto's 1st rounder I don't see Boston considering this

Value-wise it might make some sense but no way as a Pittsburgh fan. Trading our only legitimate goal scoring winger coming off a career year for yet another defenseman when we have 8000 in our system does not help that team all.

Calgary gets *****. This deal essentially swaps around cap hits. Calgary takes on 5.5 million and gives up 2 million. Calgary just re-signed Sarich, they obviously think his contract, at 2 million, is fair. Horcoff's only value is to a cap floor team.

Well there is no way Luongo + prospect lands VAN Yakupov..
To say Yakupov has no value is also incorrect.. His value right now is no different then (McKinnon or) the 1st overall pick in 2013 ..

swap Yakupov with Hemsky and getting more going to COL would make this fair for all.

To VAN : Hemsky + CGY 2nd
To EDM: Luongo
To MIN : Paajarvi
To COL: JBo + Clutterbuck
To CGY: Stastny

In a hypothetical trade, Coyle may end up as a center. He will likely end up on the Wing in Minnesota. To many centers/center prospects.

Not really. Downgrading your best scorer for cap space that you can't use (no FA's to sign right now) just makes the team worse. Vanek's contract ends soon, and he'll get a cheaper deal after, and we'll get that space without making an already weak top 6 even worse.

Rangers aren't trading a #1 defenseman for a 2/3 center.
