Has Rask been his linemate the entire time? I thought they've been switching lines around a bunch due to injuries?

For the last 5-10 games he's been mostly there. Possibly longer. Pulkkinen was putting up a lot of his recent points on the first pp unit with Erik Karlsson and iFlip(who is out injured for this week's games). Now both were gone and according to those who watched the game, Jokerit offense (basically without any real offensive centers) looked really impotent.

Sproul just keeps tearing it up offensively, if he keeps it up he'll lead at least the OHL in goals again by a defenceman, maybe the whole CHL. Pretty damn impressive considering he broke his arm during the season

Yeah, AA2 was the first star too, in a 4-1 win over Niagara.

Highlights

Sproul's SSM also one 4-1, Ottawa 67's.. The lone goal was shorty, puck was passed back to the point for Sproul but it's hard to tell from the video was it broken up because of Sproul fumbled it or was the pass bad. Sproul couldn't catch Graovac, dive missed and Graovac scored. That was little on Sproul, as Graovac got lots of time and space when Sproul missed the poke check.

Highlights

Yeah and Quine was the second star.

With 10 less games played then Hamilton and more then that less then the other guys ahead of him Sproul is still top 5 in Dman scoring and 2 goals off the goal lead

Pulkkinen's scoring streak about to end tonight, Jokerit down 0-2 after two at home against Tappara and unable to create anything offensively (from what I've read).

Though Moses just parted the Tappara defense and made it 1-2.

Scratch that, with the goalie pulled, Pulkkinen tied the game at 2-2 8 seconds before the end of the game!

Jokerit won 3-2 after the shootout. Pulkkinen missed his attempt (as usual), Jarkko Ruutu was the only who could score in the SO so Jokerit got the extra point.

God I hate that guy as a Tappara fan.

In overtime, Pulkkinen was the only pointman at Jokerit 4 on 3 power-play. Got few slappers but wide and blocked. 5 on 4 they used defencemen there.

***

Jokerit was really bad and weak without Erik Karlsson and all playmaking centers (injuries + Teräväinen at WJC) as expected. I'm just furious how Tappara gave that easy win and lead away with sloppy play.

So is Teemu on the rebound? His PPG is actually down again this year...

He had a very slow start. Up till the November national team break he had 2+3 in 18 games. After that he's played 19 games and has 8 goals & 8 assists. Now he's on a 8-game point streak in which he has 6 goals & 5 assists. So obviously he's stepped it up and is scoring more lately.

His icetime was 24:10 tonight which showed after 2 periods when he started making some bad decisions with the puck. His average icetime is 14:28.

Game highlights (Pulkkinen goal at 2:11):

I'll do a 5-10 minutes fan Q&A with Pulkkinen (and live audience) next Tuesday after the game. If anyone has good questions, feel free to throw them here. Making interesting questions is pretty hard as this is my fourth time with him and having some American perspective might make things fresher.

Points per game is down, but so has been his icetime.

2010-11 Pulkkinen, 0.280 shots/minute, 0.0198 goals/minute
2011-12 Pulkkinen, 0.266 shots/minute, 0.0181 goals/minute
2012-13 Pulkkinen, 0.327 shots/minute, 0.0187 goals/minute

He is shooting more than ever at this season and the scoring is also coming back. I don't care about assists in his case.

I wouldn't worry about him. He looked really speedster today, when carrying the puck in the zone. He can skate with a weird style, but man, he isn't a slow skater anymore if he ever was.

Has any from the wings talked about coming over next year and his feelings on the AHL.

Could you ask him what he plans to do for the future in terms of going to NA and his expectations? Is he ok with playing in the AHL?

Maybe ask him about his performances this season and how he's improving his weaknesses.

Thanks!
