We've tolerated the butchering of Maxim Ouellet and Michel Ouellet, but since Xavier Ouellet seems to be displaying the potential of being a big time NHL player, people have got to start getting it right.

Even TSN has his name misspelled on their WJC Statistics page.
I came here and saw your avatar, I must tell you that Community is the best thing that happened to TV. Now back to the Ouellet issue, even sportsnet couldn't even spell/ pronounce his name correctly. Pretty Annoying

Who cares, all foreign players have probably had their names spelled incorrectly.

Many Islanders fans still can't spell Frans Nielsen even after 6 years.

I don't get it... He's Canadian. In fact the name itself and how it is spelled is exclusively Canadian.

Rene Houallet moved to Quebec City in 1663 and is the ancestor of all Ouellet/Ouellette/Willet's in North America.

If there are any Ouellet/Ouellette's in France or anywhere else in the world is because they moved there. Hence why Xavier Ouellet's dad lived in France and why I believe Xavier was born there. (could be wrong on that last part)

No one here'll need to spell it or pronounce it again after tomorrow anyways ... if they did in the first place.

I know. The point is that people rave about it because he is Canadian.
