So is Teemu on the rebound? His PPG is actually down again this year...

He had a very slow start. Up till the November national team break he had 2+3 in 18 games. After that he's played 19 games and has 8 goals & 8 assists. Now he's on a 8-game point streak in which he has 6 goals & 5 assists. So obviously he's stepped it up and is scoring more lately.

His icetime was 24:10 tonight which showed after 2 periods when he started making some bad decisions with the puck. His average icetime is 14:28.

Game highlights (Pulkkinen goal at 2:11):

I'll do a 5-10 minutes fan Q&A with Pulkkinen (and live audience) next Tuesday after the game. If anyone has good questions, feel free to throw them here. Making interesting questions is pretty hard as this is my fourth time with him and having some American perspective might make things fresher.

Points per game is down, but so has been his icetime.

2010-11 Pulkkinen, 0.280 shots/minute, 0.0198 goals/minute
2011-12 Pulkkinen, 0.266 shots/minute, 0.0181 goals/minute
2012-13 Pulkkinen, 0.327 shots/minute, 0.0187 goals/minute

He is shooting more than ever at this season and the scoring is also coming back. I don't care about assists in his case.

I wouldn't worry about him. He looked really speedster today, when carrying the puck in the zone. He can skate with a weird style, but man, he isn't a slow skater anymore if he ever was.

Has any from the wings talked about coming over next year and his feelings on the AHL.

Could you ask him what he plans to do for the future in terms of going to NA and his expectations? Is he ok with playing in the AHL?

Maybe ask him about his performances this season and how he's improving his weaknesses.

Thanks!

It would be hard not to notice a guy who's 6'8"... Especially for a guy obsessed with his team getting bigger.

When he makes it to Grand Rapids or Detroit next year, what are his expectations and what is he anticipating?

What exactly went wrong with the off-season weight/strength training in 2011 and how much did it effect his play(especially skating) in the 2011 - 12 season? He was rumored to have switched stick blades (lapamalli) to the Kovalchuk model for last season, was that true and is he still using it? Not expecting he'll answer this but I'd like to know what he thinks of Esko Seppänen's articles or tweets on him a year ago(********/somewhat close/accurate), stating stuff that he's fat because he lives upstairs to a kebab place?

What was up with that early season slump and what did he do to get over it?

What things he's going to work mostly next off-season?

What have you learned from Erik Karlsson and Val Filppula so far? Bettman sucks doesn't count for answer, sorry.

Does he know other Wings prospects and what he thinks about them?

How far out of NHL he thinks he is?

How much potential he thinks he has to improve he's skating even still?

What NHL player(s) he is trying to mimic/idolizes style wise?

Has he pressured TT that he should be asking trade out of the Blackhawks?

I don't like Seppänen too much but he really cracks me up sometimes. Funny because he personally often is serious. Urheilulehti has lot of good humor on it.

Seppänen btw non-Finn Wings fans, thinks Giroux is the best player in the world because of one playoff series last spring.

Same with Nedolmel.
Quine had zip.

So Bodin's team came back from the Christmas/New Year break but he wasn't in the lineup. Do any of our Swedish posters have any info on him? Apart from their games, it's really tough to follow a guy playing (or not...) in a European junior league.

No points for Bäckman or Järnkrok, Pulkkinen with the assist.

Halifax Mooseheads, Frk's team added throught trade Stephen MacAulay to their team. C, over 34 gp 18g 36p in poor Saint John team. Moose will likely lose Frk and Mac next year so they are putting all in this year, I think.

Moose are really deep on offense, they player well even during the WJCs when they didn't have 3 of their best players.

How much have you talked to Val and Ilari in what to expect in Grand Rapids and North America? How helpful have they been for you?

McKee was suspended for 5 games for his most recent actions (BOXSCORE). Having been suspended already earlier must have made this one a bit longer.

Sproul seems to have scored again tonight (20 min played), even strenght this time.

Sproul is the man, Team Canada could have used him in the WJC.

Not mentioned earlier but BLB also loading for Memorial cup run possibly by adding Ryan Tesink. 4 points in 2 games so far.

BLB and Halifax seem like strong teams in Q, Halifax the strongest. Would be awesome if they would battle for the final spot on Memorial cup.
